    1. Ce livre enseigne en profondeur JavaScript; les exercices sont intéressants. Je pense que ce livre est trop difficile pour un débutant.

    2. Programer, I must say that not only I found a master but a self-made man pedagogue (who are the best teachers). The book is divided in two parts: the first is about the JavaScript language features but also dig in what it really means writing functional code comparing to "normal code" equivalent, the second is about web programming. It is worth the buy.

    3. This book is outstanding, but you really don't need a physical copy. It's all available online for free at eloquentjavascript. The author has even gone to the trouble of including code interpreters in the text so you can play with the example coding problems.

    4. This is book is phenomenal - the best book on programming I've ever read. But it's important to note: it's about programming. The programming just happens to be in in Javascript. If you are looking to learn a few JS commands for your website, this is probably not the right book.Contrary to the other reviews, Eloquent Javascript is for beginners. This can been seen in Chapter 1 it starts with the number "13". Then goes to arithmetic with "100 + 4 * 11", then boolean "3 > 2". Definitely for [...]

    5. I bought this book because it was recommend by a coding school I'm trying to get into. I figured it would be a good beginners book because of that and bought it and dived in. The author covers a lot of ground fast and doesn't do a very good job of filling in the details. I found myself lost and feeling like an idiot because I couldn't follow everything he was saying. I ended up buying "A Smarter Way to Learn JavaScript" and doing about half the exercises in it before coming back to this book [...]

    6. This book is written mostly for beginners or beginners coming from other programming languages. Bottom line up front: it's a good resource, but not the greatest, make it an arrow in your quiver of JS books/ebooks/online classes/code examples. The first several chapters are great for explaining the basics for newcomers and are a review for experienced programmers. The technical knowledge and fine level of detail in the first several chapters creates the expectation that the same level of detail [...]
