    1. Ive read a little over one thousand books on a variety of subjects over the years and I can honestly say if someone asked me to give them one book to help them become successful in life it would be this one. Its full of simple, straight-forward advice in 21 key areas of life such as: relationships, career success, leadership, finances, health, courage, happiness, character(my favorite), responsibility, time-management, peace of my mind, and many others. Brian really knocked it out the park with [...]

    2. Brian Tracy is like Taco Bell-- same ingredients every time, but it's in a different shell. This book is no exception. If you're read his stuff before, this is more of the same. Still worth reading though as going through it multiple times will really help you to incorporate it into your life. And if you haven't read any Brian Tracy stuff, this book covers:- ways to avoid procrastination- ways to improve family relationships and friendships- ways to get more done- ways to be more effective- goal [...]

    3. I have mixed opinions about this book: on one hand, the information is useful and worth learning. Yet, on the other hand, the information is shallow and often fallacious. What do I mean? Some of my favorite parts of the book are quotes from someone other than the author. Overall, the book feels like study notes that the author took while reading other people's books. The result is brief discussions regarding some useful information, such as his advice on friendship, which is taken almost directl [...]

    4. OK, really should have an 'I tried to read this book but it was so bad I could not even think of finishing it option' This book is so bad I almost made it to 10% complete before shutting it down. I now feel like I need to do an energy cleanse for having read that far into it.The author, Brian Tracy, seems to think that success = having lots of money, that people who have lots of money are 'superior' (and yes, he uses the phrase 'superior people' several times), that if you do not have lots of m [...]

    5. I know Brian Tracy is kind of a cliche, an old school "you can be successful too!" trainer a la Zig Ziglar and late night infomercials, but when New Years rolls around, and you're in resolutions mode, "No Excuses" is just the kind of book you need. Basically Tracy spends 300 pages breaking down every aspect of your life -- your average day, your work, your attitude, your health, your family, your friends -- and explains why, no matter how much you want to blame it on someone else, it's your doin [...]

    6. First, let me say that I began skimming this book at about page 25. I became greatly annoyed by Tracy's shallow analysis of issues and his over-simplification of solutions. If you need a cheerleader, this book may be for you; if you need implementable advice, you'll only lose patience. This book could easily be reduced by half. It contained too much redundancy, unnecessary analogies given the simple content, and descriptions of alternatives when they could be easily deduced. Tracy makes broad ge [...]

    7. A lot of practical and actionable tasks unfortunately a lot of pseudoscience and old fashioned personal opinions. A great example was men can't multitask only women can.

    8. I read this book as a companion to Eat That Frog, by the same author, Brian Tracy. Eat that Frog is more into the practices methods of success, while this book is more detailed and focuses on the self-discipline in various aspects of life: Personal, Business, and the Good Life. Below is the detailed list of the aspects where Tracy discuss how to incorporate self-discipline into them:I- Personal Success1- Success2- Character.3- Responsibility.4- Goals.5- Personal Excellence.6- Courage.7- Persiste [...]

    9. Although this book had action steps that I found useful, there were many things in the book that I didn't agree with. The book is written with a sales industry background, so many examples given were irrelevant in my own life. The author has an "old school" mentality giving advice such as, men and women shouldn't have business dinners or drinks in order to avoid jealously in their marriages (in my opinion this is straight sexist- and is the reason why many women have a hard time finding men ment [...]

    10. Amazing book, if you ever read anything by Brian Tracy you know this guy delivers but in this book especially he nailed down every single aspect of success for each area of life through practice of self-discipline. If you implement any tip out of this book (and there's hundreds of them) the quality of your life will instantly go up. While going through the chapters I had a ton of aha moments and the content helped me set more clear goals in my own life. "No Excuses" will literally force you to s [...]

    11. Re-read January 21This book continues to act as a great reminder of what I need to achieve and values I should continue to emulate. This book offers a lot well rounded exercises for you to do deeper reflections on goals. A must read.Wow. Wow. Where have this book been all my life? This book is the bible of Self-Help, Motivation and Inspiration. Imagine if all the self-help books, success books, motivational books and how-to books had sex, “No Excuses: The Power of Self-Discipline” would be t [...]

    12. Zero stars. The book is all theory, there is no practical advice on how to achieve discipline in any area of life. It contains TONNES of filler. It would be better to read a book on avoiding procrastination.

    13. I really enjoyed this book and felt there were a lot of really great takeaways on taking responsibility for my life, my actions, and my results. I plan to add this book to the list of books that I will reread from time to time.

Maksudnya jikalau kita berusaha, kita pasti menemui kejay [...]

    15. If you're a Brian Tracy fan, you'll like this book. If you've never read any of his books, this is a good one to start with. Full of quotes you might find insightful (or annoying if you're not a fan of quotes), this book shows you how to implement self-discipline throughout the various areas of your life, including personal success, work, finances, health and relationships. Tracy makes it very clear (and for good reasons) that self-discipline is one character trait that differentiates the more s [...]

    16. I really like Brian Tracy and most of his books are written with short snippets and are easily read. I felt like this was mostly a re-hashing of his advice just put in the context of self-discipline. While it was somewhat inspiring, I didn't feel it added anything new, nor did it have easily to implement advice. 10/22/10updated 4/30/13. Apparently I forgot I read this so I picked up the audio. And I found some parts really inspiring and some parts I skipped over. There was a line in the end abou [...]

    17. Self-discipline is indispensable if you want to accomplish anything in life. It doesn't matter whether you want to learn something, pursue a professional career, improve your relationships or achieve good health and fitness, without self-discipline you will not succeed. This book encompasses all of these areas and many more, giving precious advice and teaching you techniques which will help you to develop a strong character and good habits and through it to significantly improve the quality of y [...]

    18. Great book! Smart ideas on how to do it and lots of exercises for each area. I believe it would have had a bigger impact if I was working in Sales but though :D one of my fav!“Many people fall in love with their suffering” – so true :D

    19. Not bad, but I much prefer Tracy's 'Eat That Frog' and 'Goals', which are both smart, succinct and motivating.

    20. Nothing really new in the material but I really liked the questions/action items at the end of the chapters. Good stuff!

    21. This book is a true treasure trove, it touches on so many topics of daily life and connects them to the principle of self discipline to lead a happy and fulfilled life Re-read worthy!

    22. [No Excuses - Power of Self-Discipline]I like to say this up-front, all self-help books where the intent is to improve on themselves…are useless unless the reader follows through and take action. I.E. Do all the homework and/or action tasks specified from the books. This book was recommended to me and that I've always found the need to increase my 'self-discipline' to get more out of my own life. I constantly found myself doing things that were wasting my time, breaking out of good habits and n [...]

    23. Summary:This book is a great benchmark for self help. It's broken into 21 chapters covering different areas of life and provides practical advice on how to improve these areas. I'm definitely looking to read more of Brian Tracy's work. This is one of those books to keep on your shelf and refer to as often as you like to keep help you on track. It's easy to read and flows well, the way it's broken up means that if you're short on time you can just knock out a chapter a day, I personally couldn't [...]

    24. "No more excuses! Do it or don't do it--but don't make excuses. Stop using your incredible brain to think up elaborate rationalizations and justifications for not taking action. Do something. Do anything" (3). "It takes tremendous self-discipline to become a person of character. It takes considerable willpower to always 'do the right thing' in every situation. And it takes both self-discipline and willpower to resist the temptation to cut corners, take the easy way, or act for short-term advanta [...]

    25. One of the greatest books I've read. I'll consistently come back to this one when my goals get off track.

    26. This severely flawed and dated archetypal self help book claims to offer all encompassing solutions for bettering every area of the readers' life, and in a sense, it delivers. Whether you want to call it willpower, determination in the face of adversity or grit, self-discipline is without a doubt the most important skill there is for achieving "success". This book is helpful to the extent that it hammers this fact into your head, so it's a shame that reading it feels like being physically hammer [...]
