    1. Wow! I have discovered another fantastic author! Both these books were riveting! Kept my attention the whole time. Great mystery. Very good series so far. Looking forward to the next 2 in this series.

    2. I have finished the first two book of this series. Ms. Blackstock is a good suspence writer and I really enjoyed the story. Cape Refuge opens with the murder of Thelma and Wade Owens who operate a B&B for displaced persons--ex-cons, runaways, and others who need a fresh start. The first suspect is their son-in-law Jonathan Cleary, who was seen earlier in the day arguing with them. The murder weapon also belongs to Cleary. Owenses' two daughters, Morgan (married to Jonathan) and Blair, strugg [...]

    3. I am really enjoying this series! Southern Storm was a bit unrealistic in some parts. SPOILER ALERT Especially the part near the end when Cade is shot twice and lays captive with no medical attention, little food and survives being drugged and beaten during two escape attempts. Also the ending where Cade with super-human strength is able to get up from his hospital bed and rescue the stolen baby. Nevertheless, it was a great book that kept me up until the wee hours of the morning finishing it.

    4. Pretty good murder mystery Christian novel. I like how Blair's journey to Christ is on her own without everyone pushing her. She found Him on her own terms and in her own way; it just took a little longer.

    5. moved too slow. could not get through. not nearly as good as the last light series. consider re-reading to see if I was just too busy to get engaged with it.

    6. I am a big mystery fan, and these two books did not disappoint me. I am also in a time in my life where I found the Christian elements comforting.

    7. Both books were engaging, and kept me very interested. It is light fiction, with a clear Gospel message. Great for the beach or an airplane.
