tale of time travel and shape shifting It was a thrilling ride The storyline delivered the two main characters to a new world order that provided for them meaning and truth It was a time of supernatural growth.Good fortune smiled on Lily and her six year old autistic brother, Logan, when they happened upon the open arms of Iron Joe A Native American of many generations, he took the terrified children under his wing and helped them flee from the life or death situation they found themselves cast into Quite by accident, Logan discovered the hidden place to enter a portal Iron Joe was conveniently on hand to make the transition smooth for the children. In the blink of an eye, they found themselves transported to the same town 100 years back in time Everything looked so different The surrounding forest was laid bare due to extreme logging The motor car had not taken hold and the townsfolk relied on horse driven carriages The luxuries they had come accustomed to no longer was no longer at their beck and call.Even escaping to the past, little did they know that their lives were in mortal danger Someone that meant them deadly harm had learned of the portal s existence and was seeking them out He would not stop until the two no longer had a beating pulse Lily knew that she d be headed for a showdown with the hunter in the near future It was only a matter of time.I send interesting quick read I really enjoyed that this book included two aspects that are not often seen in fiction, autism and native american culture These topics are not delved deeply into, but are integrated into the story While I did enjoy the story, I do feel that it was lacking in writing The characters could have been developed much , and I only real I recieved a copy of this book for an characters could have been developed much , and I only really bonded with two characters, Iron Joe and Logan We recieved peeks of Joes life and glimpses into their minds that made me commect with them On the other hand, I didnt connect with Lily at all and I feel like she was the main voice in the book.Overall, I feel like if you are interested in this story, give it a chance, but do not go into it expecting detailed writing or depth.I would reccomend this story for those who are interested as a quick read Thank you for the copy to review flag 1 likeLike see review View 1 comment Oct 08, 2018 rated it it was ok review of another edition I won this ebook in a giveaway I enjoy fantasy time travel, but I felt this book was seriously lacking It seemed like an outline for a novel that needed to be beefed up before publishing There were some good ideas in it, but many of the characters were underdeveloped I think with a bit rewriting it could be a decent story flag Like see review View 1
