is located in the far east of Russia and is isolated by water and mountains Kamchatka is a land of extremes from tundra to volcanoes to verdant forests and the descriptions of the peninsula are jaw dropping I m not sure of the reason but I was startle Kamchatka My only knowledge of Kamchatka was that it is the name of cheap vodka my friends and I drank during our salad days We re named it coming
