become and drug dependent, are selecting the path of least resistance and the most short term pleasureey are not go getters or self motivated types THIS is very much an issue in our own society today Even pre WWIII.The outlook is that there are three types of people people who watch things happen, people who don t know what the hell happened, and people who make things happen The government has ceased to really care about the first two categories It s all about profit and certain agendas Little people be damned.Overall, the book was too thin Not enough depth in any one character, the plot was simple and moved at a snails pace with little twist flag Like see review Nov 07, 2018 Carmel rated it liked it This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here I alliance of corporate power and government This novel could have been a thrilling read, but it falls short in several ways The narrative is often awkward The author describes too many things that don t add to the story and explains things that should be shown by the action taking place The book s big secret is revealed too early and with insufficient subtlety To be fair, there is another surprise twist later in the story that I only faintly suspected But the biggest problem is the characters They never seem fully believable their motivations are never completely convincing Both the protagonist, Taylor Morris, and the RobotWorld boss, Sophia Ross, suffer crises of conscience that should drive the plot forward with gradually growing tension, but the reader is never made to feel their angst. This book, which I received for free in a giveaway, is entertaining but fails to enthrall It leaves the future wide open for a sequel or a series, but I won t be in any hurry to read by
