through the novel, and from that point on, things continue to develop quickly and crazily Just the way a fiction lover likes it Some of the greater themes of the fast paced story include How to deal past the first in the series The entire book felt stilted and contrived and often convoluted it seemed as if the author tried to mash three books into one The characters, especially Conrad and Ashleigh, weren t believable, much of the dialogue was stiff and unrealistic, and the plot was weak While the idea seemed compelling, the logic behind Marnie s deception and Bradford s willingness to put his reputation at stake to go along with it was ridiculous and since that is the feeble foundation for the rest of the story, nothing else works I won t even go into the attempt to add in the romantic love interest for Callie that seemed completely out of place and awkwardand unnecessary And the dance competition that neither Callie nor Marnie should have participated in after their accidents Or the human interest reporter side story that makes no sense, no matter how many times or ways it was explained There really are too many secondary, tertiary, quaternary, quinary, senary, etc story lines muddying up what could have been a really good book at half the length flag Like see review Jan 11, 2019 Ruth rated it it was ok review of another edition I won this book in a giveaway
