    1. Release Date:May 8, 2018 Genre:Women's FictionThe High Tide Club is much different than what I anticipated going into it, but it was well worth the surprise. Mary Kay Andrews has a way with words. She weaves beautiful and original tales that play on readers emotions while also opening up their minds and hearts. Even more, she brings her characters to life by building them up and making them seem like real people. I love the flow of her stories, how everything comes together in perfect detail, an [...]

    2. This is the first & certainly not the last novel I've read by, Mary Kay Andrews! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, because this novel had everything, mystery, romance, friendship & humor! I loved it, the setting was wonderful, there was a lot of interesting southern traditions & belief's. I read through this book quickly because it was too hard to put down, everytime I ended a chapter, I had to go on because a new twist had taken place & just when you think you've figured [...]

    3. This is a different kind of book for Mary Kay Andrews - her books are usually laugh out loud funny and even though this one has some funny moments, its much more serious and mysterious than her earlier books. That said, I loved this book and highly recommend it. The characters are so well written that we see them as real people - flaws and all. Plus the age of the characters range from mid 30s to 99 so we get to view women's lives through a variety of ages.Josephine, Millie, Ruth and Varina form [...]

    4. The High Tide Club was unlike any other Mary Kay Andrews book that I've read. I've read most, if not all of hers, so this surprised me.The story started out slowly, in my opinion, and at one point I had half a mind to put it down without finishing. Believe me, do not make the mistake that I almost did because the story does pick up and keeps moving quickly until the end once it starts moving. I'd say I found it slow going until about 15% of the way in.One thing I always enjoy about this author i [...]

    5. I've never read anything by this author before, but I'd seen her books over the years, so when I saw this as a Giveaway, I wanted to give it a try. Overall, I would say that it was an interesting story, with some intriguing plot twists. I did feel frustration with some of the character development, and some of their choices. My major complaint was a scene with a librarian who basically spilled the beans on another character's information requests. As a longtime librarian, I found that totally u [...]

    6. If you are a MKA fan you would enjoy this beach read. There is a little bit of everything included from romance to suspense to humor. I do feel though that the excessive number of characters and side stories took away from the main plot and at times made the story drag. I did like how the story was told in the present with every few chapters told in the past. There were a few twists that I didn’t see coming thus making the story more interesting for me. This was an ARC from . Thank you!

    7. I was a First Read Winner of this book and I couldn't wait to get started on it. There were some aspects of the book that I really liked, but other parts just made me shake my head and almost ruin the whole book for me. It had a promising premise and I would have liked to get to know the first members of the High Tide Club better, especially since their storylines seemed way more interesting. The friendships between the younger generation seemed to develop super fast especially since Lizzy and F [...]

    8. I loved this story. In true Mary Kay Andrews the story features characters full of life and fierceness and a setting in the south the brings a small island off Georgia to life. The story is told in alternating time periods that give a great sense of both the present day story and the events of the past that have led the cast of characters to where they are today. The mystery was an interesting one, although there were a few things that were left unanswered. There were enough twists to keep me re [...]

    9. Thank you St. Martin's Press for an early copy of this book. The High Tide Club is a fabulous beach read. Get you beach chair and a glass of sweet tea and get ready to be transported to the island of Talisa off the coast of Southern Georgia. There you will be taken back in time to the 1940's and the friendship of Josephine, Ruth, Millie, and Varina and the secrets these ladies shared will be brought back to life 60 some odd years later by a group of ladies who were thrown together by 99 year old [...]

    10. This is the first book I read by Mary Kay Andrews and I LOVED it. My husband and kids complained that I spent too much time reading since I could not put the book down. I liked how there was multiple story lines going on and how they intertwined in the book. The story uses many flashbacks to help you understand the friendship and love affairs of the 4 young women who start The High Tide Club. I thought it was well written and though some parts seemed predictable I also was surprised by a few thi [...]

    11. Thank you for this fun read. This is the first book I have read from Mary Kay Andrews and I was pleasantly surprised what a good book it was. Writing style is strong, characters thought out. As with all books of this genre the end gets wrapped up a little quick and conveniently, but the journey to the end was a fun one. The setting makes me want to book a trip to South Carolina!

    12. I received this ARC as a giveaway. Thanks St. Martin's Press! This was my first, but not last, Mary Kay Andrews book. The covers of her books are always attractive and inviting.Once I got into the story and got all the characters straight, I couldn't put it down. There were so many interesting twists and turns.

    13. Thanks . Won this book and I was going to save it for a summer read, But I couldn't wait. Naturally, with a cover like that, it was set on a island in the south. Several mysteries, murder, good characters and a spot of romance. What more can a reader ask for entertainment?

    14. Loved this new book! Read an Advanced Readers Copy and could not have enjoyed it more. Almost late to work today wanting to finish it! Love the setting, the twists and turns in the mystery! Great read!

    15. Well thought out book that grabs your attention and holds it. The characters are likeable. The story lines ( yes, more than one ) are all executed. An all around good read.

    16. Just fun!! Her books are just like a cozy sweater or a cool drink on a hot beach. Just plain enjoyable! Put it on your summer pile!

    17. I received this ARC from St. Martin's Press in exchange for a review. Thank you!The High Tide Club is about friendship and family with a few murders thrown in on a wild island off the coast of Georgia. And there's skinny dipping at the full moon! Would recommend!
