    1. Darby Thorne made a mistake. She started out late to get to her mother's. The falling snow becomes a blizzard and she loses a windshield wiper. She does manage to make it to a rest stop. The good news is that she is off the road. The bad news is she is now stranded overnight with no telephone service. There are only a few cars in the parking lot and she finds people, coffee and cocoa waiting on the inside. People there seem friendly enough . they are all in the same situation.Strolling outside t [...]

    2. Had potential. This book is for those like to read Robin Cook books. Scary, vicious and bloody nightmarish story. Can't believe any body traveling in that weather and those states, without any preparations. Got tired of repeated sayings and foul language. Don't recommend this book.

    3. Darby Thorne, a college student, has been stranded by a blizzard at a highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere. She was on her way home to visit her sick mother. She will need to spend the night with four strangers. But then she stumbles across a little girl locked inside one of the parked cars. With no phone signal and trapped because of the snow, Darby does not know which one of the strangers is the kidnapper.Wow. What a terrific read this book turned out to be. I found myself quickly engros [...]

    4. Darby Thorne is a college student who just received the worst news of her life getting a phone call at school that her mother had been diagnosed with cancer. Fearing the worst Darby rushes off to return home hoping to make things right with her mother before it becomes too late. However what Darby didn't count on was a blizzard hitting the area that she needs to drive through to make it home.Darby unequipped for the weather finds herself slipping and sliding her way along the highway when her wi [...]

NO EXIT by Taylor Adams is your magic carpet ride out of a sweltering summer and into a snowy hell. A kidnapped little girl locked in a stranger's van. No help for miles. What would you do?Darby Thorne is a college student stranded by a blizzard at a highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere. She’s on the wa [...]

    6. WHAT THE BLOODY HELL WAS THAT!!!!Unfortunately I DNF at 30% the plot was ridiculous Darby was an irritating character & if you were stuck in a blizzard WHY WOULDNT YOU HAVE A PLAN B?? For heavens sake Miss Taylor get the plot right UGhhh This was one forgettable book WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

    7. What a wild, wicked ride, this book. Who would've guessed a full-length novel entirely set on a rest stop could be that thrilling, especially considering the bad guy reveals himself relatively early into the book?Sure, there wasn't much of an elaborate plot, Adams went totally over the top with the "NOOOOOO" moments, the protagonist was stupid and kept making the dumbest decisions, and I often felt like I was reading the script of a 90's teen slasher movie where, no matter how fast you are, the [...]

    8. 3.75 starsAptly named, “No Exit” is a situation the characters find themselves in at a rest stop in Colorado. The harsh snow blizzard is making traveling dangerous. Darby, a college student pulls over at this rest stop as her old Honda isn’t going to make it much farther. She has no signal on her iPhone, the battery is very low and she’s forgotten her charger in her rush to get on the road to reach her dying mother before Christmas. At the rest stop are 4 other people taking shelter insi [...]

    9. THIS BOOK HAS SUCH A FUCKING HIGH RATING HERE ON ??!!.Like seriously, literally broken because this was nowhere as good as I though it was going to be. If anything, this taught me that the GR ratings are not to be trusted. But this book. Wasn't that bad. But it wasn't that good either. It was actually kinda c h e e e s y.I think the worst of it for me was the writing and the sort of unrealistic scenarios (that ending wtf) butI really liked the main character, Darby, and her knack for survival. S [...]

    10. Read over the course of a day.I loved Darbys character and her initial thought process of the people she meets, in the visitor centre. After seeing what she believes to be a young child's hand, coming from a cage that appears at a window, of one of the others car-van,she finds herself in an dreadful situation.Snowed in only six percent on her battery on her I-phone, with nowhere to go for at least the next 8 hours, and her mind working over time,as one of the others kidnapped a child and is also s [...]

    11. For those that know me well, know that I am severely picky. I am even more picky with thrillers, that is my favorite genre so you either roll with the suspense or get a nasty review. What in the blue hell was this? There was no characterization, just an annoying main character stuck in a blizzard, not knowing what to do. Where the hell did she came from? What led to the blizzard? Why should readers waitwaitwait and WAIT for something BIG to happen. It is a FREAKING (I really wanted to use the F w [...]

    12. Darby Thorne is a college art student who is not having a very good day. She was late starting out on her journey to see her sick mother, her windscreen wiper snapped and now she is stranded by snowmageddon with four total strangers at a highway rest stop in the middle of nowhere. Then she stumbles across a little girl who is locked inside one of their cars. There is no cell phone signal,no wi-fi,no telephone,no way out because of the snow, and she doesn't know which one of the other travellers is [...]

    13. After a very intense and emotional last read, I wanted an entertaining, fast-paced thriller to clean my palate and save me from my book hangover – and No Exit sounded like just that type of book. The premise of a small group of people confined in a small space in the middle of a snowstorm intrigued me. I love tense, claustrophobic settings as a backdrop to a crime story. Adams sets the scene very well, with young Darby getting caught in a blizzard as she is driving her old car across the count [...]

    14. ❝This is going to be a long night, kiddos.❞Darby Thorne tries to beat a treacherous winter storm in order to reach her mother's in time for her surgery. When the storm forces her to pull over at a remote highway rest stop, events take a turn that might eventually cost the lives of every visitor there.I stayed up much later than usual to finish this book and I'm still trying to decide if it was worth it. For thrill-lovers, this book definitely has enough twisty plot turns. About halfway throu [...]

    15. Now some people sometimes have bad days but for a few it just seems that getting a good day is the rarity. For Darby Thorne it seemed that her life was just falling apart. It really sort of got much worse after some pretty harsh words were exchanged between her and her mother, the sort you say in temper and now her mum was heading for surgery, very ill and miles away. Darby had to get to her and tell her she wanted to take these words back but it all becomes a giant obstacle course of life and d [...]

    16. My rating: 4.9 out of 5 starsThis book starts at a steady pace but the adrenaline builds at an increasing pace throughout the book with the end result being a psychological thriller at its very best.It is nearly Christmas and Darby is trying to get home to see her sick mother when she gets caught in a horrendous snow storm that forces her to pull in to a rest stop and so begins the nightmare that is NO EXIT. There are many different factors that go together to make this story work, well not only [...]

    17. GNa I received a free electronic copy of this novel from Netgalley, Taylor Adams and Joffe Books in exchange for an honest review. Thank you all, for sharing your hard work with me.This is one of those books that has heart-rending action that grows larger and closer together as the story progresses. Think a Bruce Willis film. I kept having to tell myself to stop reading and just BLINK, and breathe, for crying out loud. No Exit takes place in a rest stop in Colorado so it was quite easy to pictur [...]

    18. Darby Thorne is a college student who just received news that her estranged mother has cancer. She rushes home to see her mother, but she gets caught in a blizzard. From there her luck goes from bad to worse. She sees a sign for a rest stop, and knows that she can't make it any further in the blizzard, so she pulls over to wait out the storm. While walking around the parking lot trying to get cell service, she thinks she sees the hand of a small child in the back of a van. At first she wonders i [...]

    19. Without doubt this is an absolutely riveting read for me. It starts off at a steady pace but when Darby discovers the abducted girl in the back of the van the tension escalates and never lets up. There are so many twists and turns in this book that I found myself reading half of it with my mouth gaping open and saying, "OMG"One of the best reads this year apart from Rob Ashman's trilogy about the Mechanic. Off to buy some more of Taylor's books now.

    20. I really enjoyed this. Fast paced, exciting, page-turning thriller. Yes, there were some implausible aspects but I could easily overlook those because the book was well written and held my attention. This would make an excellent film and I'd definitely read another by this author.

    21. I could not put this book down. It was so intense and just kept moving quickly. Loved it! You will like this book if you like suspense. Highly recommended.

    22. 2 and 1 / 2 starsCollege student Darby Thorne is traveling to Utah to visit her very ill mother in the hospital. She runs into a snowstorm going over the pass and is stranded in a rest stop. As she finally exits her dying car, she notices a child’s hand in a cage in the back of a van. Is she imagining things? She trudges inside the rest stop that is nearly abandoned save for four persons. A very strange young man named Lars, an overly talkative young college student and a man and a woman who a [...]

    23. I just have no words for this book. I read it in one day. Would have read it quicker if I could have hidden myself away from the rest of the world, but alas, there was no escape from reality! It's been a long time since I opened a book and couldn't think of anything else, even after the book was finished. Un-be-liev-able! I have to say, to have an entire book take place in one location, with only 6 characters interacting, and still not have the action slow for even a second- that takes an amazin [...]

    24. Thanks to Netgalley for my copy.Darby Thorne is desperate to get home to see her terminally ill mother. Unfortunately she gets stuck in a blizzard and is forced to take refuge at a rest stop. Here she meets up with four other people. She is outside trying desperately to get her cell phone to work so she can get a message to her family. She thinks she sees a child's hand waving at her and so decides to rescue that child. See this is where this book is just implausible, wouldn't you go inside and [...]

    25. Too muchToo much gore. To much horror. Too much unbelievable. I read a LOT and I have to say that this may be the worst story I have read in the last 5 years. Writing is good. Clever even. The plot was horrific, the death toll was graphically high and the happy ending not nearly long enough to make up for it. Never again.

    27. Oh my word what a read!! Darby Thorne is trying to get home to Utah from Colorado - her mother has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is about to have surgery. Unfortunately for Darby she set off too late and now the worst snowstorm of the winter has hit and she'll never make it over the mountains.
