    1. This book filled in the gaps of progression of convict conditioning. This book does have a lot of fluff to it but aside from that and repetitive bold "quotes" from that very page the book is pretty golden. The book sets its goal straight off the bat strength training as if you were naked with two exercises that will train your whole body.     2. Generally when this book comes up, people talk about the one-arm pushup and the one-leg squat (pistol), but the real meat of this book applies to any movement you do:1. Greasing the Groove2. Tension Development3. Power Breathing in CompressionEverything else in the book is just gravy. Nice, but not needed for the book to be spectacular. Considering the scope and quality (ranging from genius to fluff) of Pavel's work over the years, to say that this is one of his best is really saying something.

Far superior to this publisher's other book Convict Conditioning. With the use of graphics and stories, The Naked Warrior hits home on pure strength training technique and explanation. However, I was under the impression that this book would be a some-what glossary of body weight exercises. A very interesting book, although I think it could have been written more clearly.The final chapter seemed to cram a bit too much in and was totally different to the rest of the book.I think it may be useful for someone at a more advanced level.It is interesting that is recommends doing particularly exercises almost every day, but not to failure in order to build strength and does not focus on progressive resistance.


    18. The whole book centered around only 2 exercises: one-legged squat and one-hand pushup. The idea is to practice exercises with total tension of the whole body, multiple times a day, without exhausting your muscle in any instance. I like the approach of splitting exercises into low-rep sets throughout the day, and making a habit out of it. Cannot justify the length of book though, and the "Comrade" thingy feels uncomfortable.


    19. I picked this up along with Convict Conditioning initially because I was cheap and too shy to go to the gym (yeah, shut up). But after a month and a half of training (using both systems) I wasn't too "big" but I was lifting and throwing things around at work that were making people go "wtf?". The simplicity of the exercises gave off the impression of being limited in their effectiveness, but don't let that fool you. You don't need to go to the gym in order to get stronger

He used whatever chance he has to endorse his product which seems a little bit cheesy after a while.This book can be summarized into 10pages max, but with no doubt these papers are gold. Great explanation of different strength goals (max, endurance, power), technique for strength exercise generally, and detailed descriptions for one leg exercise (pistol squat, and variations) and one arm pushing exercise (one-arm and one-arm & one-leg push-up, and variations). Strategies are given for building up to and adding/reducing the challenge of every exercise.


    22. Any athlete trying to become stronger, faster, or harder will benefit from this book. The section on breathing technique is worth reading on its own. If you're like me and want strength without size and would rather put a stick in their eye before working out in a weight room. This is definitely the book for you.

Great fan of the GTG method, started doing it for pull ups when I started reading the book and increased from three to six reps in only ten days. Liking the details of the one arm pushups as well as the breathing exercises, implementing them right now. Short book but it gets it done.


    24. Some good information, but overpriced. Focuses mainly on two exercises, the one arm push-up and pistol (one legged) squats. Goes into detail about technique and tension. Like I said, decent information, but all the good stuff could have been fit on two pages. Not a fan of Dragondoor's outrageous pricing.     25. This book is a fantastic resource for learning to do bodyweight exercises. I canceled my gym membership and rotate push-up, pull-ups, and pistol squats using Pavel's teaching. Greasing the groove does work!!However, like many others, I think the book could have more exercises taught. The list price is very expensive. That said, if you do it, you'll see benefits.


    26. I have the ebook version of this book and whoever did the conversion was just terrible. Parts of pages are broken up and it is apparent that no effort was made to format the book for the Kindle. Once you struggle through that barrier there is some good information in the book but it does feel padded. (A complaint that I have heard before about Pavel's books.)


    27. Good but basic intro to bodyweight training. While I enjoy reading Pavel, if you've read Convict Conditioning or any other book by Dragon Door, of if you have been doing strength training for a while, you can probably pass on this one and save your $30.


    28. One of the best bodyweight books currently available imho. Learned a lot, and really gave me a new perspective on the definition of strength. Really turned a lot of pre-conceived notions I had on their head.


    29. Offers something different from other body weight ex. books. It wouldn't be the only book you read about the subject, but it can certainly top off your knowledge and maybe help you through a sticking point with a fresh approach, especially, grease the groove.
