    1. Much as I enjoy the author's writing (and I do, she's one of my favorites), this one just did not grab me. I highly recommend reading the first in this series instead. I'd give this one 2.5 stars.

    2. On of her best romances. As always, Carola Dunn blends humor with romance, and well-developed characterization.

    3. Elopement and a confusion of partners form the theme of this pretty little regency romance from Carola Dunn. There are several historical tidbits scattered throughout the narrative, which I found interesting. The plot is tad shallow and the ending a bit of a damp squib, I felt the story could have been made a lot richer. Nevertheless it was still a pleasant, relaxing read.

    4. I have enjoyed all of Carola Dunn’s regency books I have read so far. They are a nice, quick, easy read and they have a Jane Austen feel to them. Each book is different enough from the others to feel fresh and her enjoyable writing style is consistent.

    5. A forgettable book by a very good author. I'm not even positive I read this but it sounds familiar and the library owns it so I must have.
