readathon17 Book 24: a children's book published after 2011Yes, I will count it for the readathon! Took me 2 minutes to read, but most children's books wouldn't take much longer.My favorite Doctor and River Song on a great adventure :)

The second of the Doctor Who/Mr Men crossovers I've read and I'm still struggling with them. The target audience of the Mr Men books must be too young to get all the Doctor Who references necessary to enjoy these, and for an adult it's obviously pretty thin stuff. I mean yes, there's obviously the quirk factor of the stories but I'm not sure that lasts across two waves of book releases. A bit like the Ladybird Books for Grown-Ups or the Enid Blyton for adults, the gag is over-extended and I can' [...]

Ties in the series and the classic Mr Men narrative really well. Really like this!

A cute Mr Men book Doctor Who style :). A quick fun read for any fan of the Doctor.

This one is not as enjoyable as the previous two, though my utter dislike of River Song is probably the only reason for this. I'll say only one more thing though. "Just like that."

Probably the best of the first batch. It has everything a Dr Who story should have.

Another great Dr Who/Mr Men story. This time it is the Eleventh Doctor with River Song and features a number of the Doctors enemies. It was fun to read and no matter how old you are if you are a Dr Who fan you will really enjoy. Go treat yourself now. Geronimo!

Kinda weird having the Mr. Men do Doctor Who, as it doesn't seem to completely fit and they keep it childish, but it would be a good children's book to read to your child who is just getting into Doctor Who.

Another charming entry in this series, although if I was being picky I don't think the characterisation of the 11th quite matched Matt Smith's take, and I don't recall the Weeping Angels killing you with their stare.

As a huge fan of Doctor Who and a former fan of these kids books, I loved this very much.

This book was adorable. The Doctor's voice was captured perfectly and I loved seeing all the classic villains. A must read for any Whovian!

I got a copy of this to send to my best friend because she was the one who introduced me to doctor who, starting with 11. I had to get one for myself. So adorable.

For those who love the absentminded silliness of the eleventh Doctor.Good for a Doctor Who storytime, but mostly fun for adults who want to share their geekiness with their children.

More about River Song than the doctor, nice to see some bad guy cameos though!

Chronologically, this story takes place between "Ennui of the Daleks" and "Moffat HungryMoffat Kill!"

Loved it! Eleven was always my favourite Doctor so this was excellent to read :)
