    1. I love reading and relaxing with a Tourist Trap Mystery by Lynn Cahoon in my hands. The engaging characters and interesting plots draw me straight into the story. In Hospitality & Homicide, several changes are in store at Coffee, Books & More for owner, Jill Gregory, her Aunt Jackie, and their employees and friends. More than one relationship is tested, and I could relate to the conflict and sadness the characters were feeling. Esmeralda and her psychic senses finally receive the recogni [...]

    2. See this and all of my reviews at Mystereity ReviewsI sat down last night to read for an hour or 2 until my favorite show came on and missed my show! (Thank goodness for DVRs!) There were two riveting plots in this one, B&B innkeeper Walter is found dead, murdered in a way that closely mirrored the plot of visiting crime author Nathan Pike's new novel and a child missing after being swept off the beach by a wave. Esmeralda claims he's still alive but in peril and won't survive much longer. I [...]

    3. The Tourist Trap mysteries are always dependable and this one for no disappoint. Jill Gardener, owner of coffee and bookstore in Southcove, California is extremely busy. For the first time paranormal aspect is important, previously it has only been mention. Nathan Pike, a mystery writer checks into a B&B. The major his decree Nathan will follow Greg King around in order to learn about police methods. Greg is the police chief and Jill significant other. Jill must decide if Greg can move into [...]

    4. Wow. This is the eighth book in the series, but the first I've read. I have been missing out!I was able to enjoy this book, but will definitely read the previous ones!I really enjoyed the setting of South Cove and Coffee, Books and More. The characters are realistic and well written, especially Jill. The whodunit kept me guessing right until the conclusion.I highly recommend this book.I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    5. I do love this small tourist town in California. It is a kind of place I wouldn't mind visiting or even living! Kind and friendly citizens, well other than the ones that decide to commit murder! This is the 8th book and I really enjoy reading how the personal story lines progress for Jill, Greg, Aunt Jackie, Toby and Esmeralda. There are other characters that always manage to round out the story and create depth to the plot.I will say that I sort of figured out who the killer was, not on any majo [...]

    6. A big treat to have Hospitality and Homicide by Lynn Cahoon on my table this weekend. This is her much anticipated May release and I love this series. Based in South Cove, California in a seaside town this one is a favorite series of mine. The tourist Trap Mystery series centers around Jill and her Coffee and Book store. One of the things I love about this series is meeting all the shop owners and getting to know the business owners a little more in each book. Jill has her hands full and choices [...]

    7. Okay.I am serious kicking myself right now. Why? I can't believe it has taken me so long to read one of the books in this series. I have heard good things about this series and have the first book on the TBR pile. What finally did it was that I was offered an ARC to this book to read and review. After conferring with some of my other cozy mystery friends to make sure I wouldn't be lost because this is book 8 (and they assured me I wouldn't), I decided to take the chance.I found this book to be v [...]

    8. Hospitality and Homicide by Lynn Cahoon is the eighth book in A Tourist Trap Mystery series. Jill Gardner lives in South Cove, California and owns Coffee, Books and More. Nathan Pike, mystery author, has arrived back in town to work on his latest novel. He will be staying at the South Cove Bed and Breakfast. Greg King, South Cove PD’s only detective and Jill’s boyfriend, is less thrilled with his presence since Nathan will be shadowing him for the next month. On the weekend, Jill, Greg, Aunt [...]

    9. Because I love Lynn Cahoon's Cat Latimer cozy series, when I saw Hospitality and Homicide available for review, I jumped right on it. The book is #8 in the Tourist Trap Mystery Series, but as with most cozy series a reader can usually jump in mid-stream and still enjoy the story. I'm so glad I read this book! I just started a very challenging new job, and I'm really feeling the pressure. Today was my day off.I curled up on the couch with some awesome coffee and devoured this book from cover to c [...]

    10. This is one of my favorite series so I knew this would be like meeting up with old friends. :) 4.5 rating.Jill Gardner has gone back to college and it's kind of kicking her butt because as much as she would like to learn more about marketing to run her business it's kind of boring to read about. Not only does she have to deal with that but she still has to work at Coffee Books 'n More and they have a fairly famous author Nathan coming to do an event. There are two B&B's in South Cove and it's [...]

    11. It’s always fun spending time in South Cove, and I enjoyed my eighth visit there. By this time, most of the residents are old acquaintances. I was happy to see that Jill and Greg are finally discussing the next stage in their relationship. (It’s about time!) Aunt Jackie is softening her edges a little; Harrold is good for her. But I’m worried about her health. Things are changing on other fronts, too, with a new clock shop in town, and changes ahead for Sasha and Toby. That said, the myster [...]

    12. Jill Gardner lives in South Cove. This lovely coastal town is filled with charm and good people except for the person who murdered Walter Knicely. Jill is busy with her store and her college courses. Her relationship with Greg King is moving to the next level. But that doesn't stop her from investigating the crime. Can she help find who did it? I like Jill. She's a smart and caring woman who knows how to get people to confide in her. Greg is a South Cove police detective. He's a patient and lovi [...]

    13. I have read almost every book in this series and have enjoyed seeing how the characters grow and their friendships become deeper with time. While this is book 8 I believe it works well as a standalone; however it’s such an enjoyable series, you shouldn’t miss any of the books. The characters are an interesting and original group. They are fun, sometimes tease each other and are very caring—most of them are the kind of people I’d love to have as friends. I like the setting too. Imagine ow [...]

    14. This is the eighth installment of the “Tourist Trap Mystery” series. The author has created a series that is fun to read, has a great pace, has characters that are well developed, and a cozy mystery environment.Jill Gardner lives and works in South Cove, California. Her store, “Coffee, Books and More” keeps her busy, but not too busy to let curiosity get the better of her. Detective Greg King; and Jill’s boyfriend, is not too pleased when a “Castle-esk” mystery writer by the name o [...]

    15. When I open one of the Tourist Trap books, I feel like I'm catching up with old friends.Jill Gardner is fiercely independent, however, she is working on her commitment fears in this story. When author Nathan Pike visits their quiet town, Detective Greg King isn't excited that the well-known author will be his shadow. For the next Mon, Nathan Pike will follow Greg while on the job. The author prefers to experience what his characters will go through, it keeps the creative juices flowing. What Nathan [...]

    16. When author Nathan Pike comes to South Cove, CA to do a book signing and work on his book little did he know that his book would be part of a murder. Jill the book store owner loves solving puzzles and this murder is definitely one that even her cop boyfriend is having a hard time solving. Will Jill be able to figure out who did it or will she be the next victim. First time reading this book and didn’t realize it was book 8. You can read this as a stand alone book and not feel lost. I enjoyed [...]

    17. If I would've known about this series when it started I would've been all up in this from that moment but I didn't hence the reason I started at book 8 *shaking fist in the air in frustration*It's well written, set in a wonderful location, has coffee AND books, the characters are fun and the mystery is compelling. Will be sneaking around trying to find the entire series now, after I've read book 9 which I have on my kindle.*Huge thanks to Lynn Cahoon, Kensington Books and NetGalley for this copy [...]

    18. This was another fun trip to South Cove in the latest installment of the Tourist Trap cozy mysteries featuring Jill Gardner. One of the town's 2 B&B owners has been murdered and when her police chief boyfriend can't crack the case it's up to Jill to lend a hand. This also had an intriguing secondary mystery about a missing boy that kept me anxiously reading to find out what happened to him. All in all a wonderful trip back to South Cove and I can't wait till July 2017 for my next excursion!! [...]

    19. **I voluntarily reviewed this ARC**This is the first book I've read in this series, but I had no problem following along. The characters were very well written and realistic. The mystery was great with a shocking twist.

    20. 4 starsI always look forward to reading a Tourist Trap mystery as soon as it comes available to read. This is one of my favorite series. Jill Gardner finds herself in a bit of a pickle when Greg pops the question… okay, not “that” question but the “should we move in together” question. And strangely she finds herself undecided. Then her long-timer worker, Sasha, decides to go back to school and in the meantime dumps an unsuspecting Toby. Then Esmerelda gets into so much hot water that [...]

    21. 4 stelle e mezzaMi piace questa serie: ogni volta che leggo un libro mi sembra di tornare a trovare dei vecchi amici!

    22. Wow! If I knew how much I was missing in this series, I would have started it a long time ago! This is an exciting mystery with a delightful romance woven throughout. The setting of South Cove, California sounds gorgeous with the ocean nearby – I already want to go there in armchair land, and Jill’s store, Coffee, Books and More sounds like a place I would really love.Jill’s Aunt Jackie is manager of the book store and coffee shop while Jill is studying for a business degree. She has pract [...]

    23. Jill Gardner owns Coffee, Books, and More, a go-to destination for those needing that first cup in the morning. While life is never dull in the coastal town of South Cove, it's even less so right now for Jill, who's trying to juggle her store, obtain a business degree at a local college and the arrival in town of an author, Nathan Pike, who's come to write his next novel - a murder mystery - and tag along with the local cops. What Jill doesn't count on is the fact that Nathan is annoying and the [...]

    25. Hospitality and Homicide is the eighth book in the Tourist Trap Mysteries. I have not read any others in the series, but the number of characters are limited and it was easy to jump into the story. The plot is fairly simple; too much emphasis is on the characters’ everyday lives, rather than on the mystery. Halfway into the book the reader knows with certainty Jill’s daily activities, her favorite dessert, her relationship issues, etc. Despite that, the author details them over and over thro [...]

    26. Hospitality and Homicide: A Tourist Trap Mystery Author: Lynn CahoonPublisher: Lyrical Underground South Cove, California, is beautiful and filled with everything a visitor could want from a seaside town. Jill Gardner knows the town's attraction and enjoys living in the small busy place. She is the owner of Coffee, Books, and More a combination bookstore and coffee house, and occasionally she would be dragged into the middle of a murder investigation, this time she is also involved in a case of [...]

    27. Welcome back to South Cove, everyone! We last left Jill after having hosted a successful event thinking about family ties, the ones we're given and the ones we make. (Tea Cups & Carnage). In the first return book of 2017 (As of right now Killer Party is set to release on July 18th.) we join Jill and the gang dealing with a lot of personal issues and of course a murder! With a potential drowning, a breakup, a new relationship, a returning character, anew business in town, a proposal and oh yea [...]

    29. HOSPITALITY AND HOMICIDE, the eighth book in the Tourist Trap Mystery series by Lynn Cahoon, has plenty to keep the reader entertained: A young missing boy, a friend who seems to be going off the deep end, romance, and… a murdered bed & breakfast owner. Jill Gardner has her hands full juggling school while running her business Coffee, Books, and More.
