    1. Passport to Happiness is a novella by Debbie White. Although it is not a sequel to The Salty Dog, there is a connection that is unexpected. Her book is absolutely lovely and is readable in one sitting. I just could not put it down. Although it is not a true story, it reads like one and I began to see Jessica as a real person. I loved the way she put in the descriptions on what was happening in the world at the time something was happening to Jessica. This made the book that much more personal. H [...]

    2. I love this book so much. This book is about pure and innocent love that is refreshing to see. In this story, Jessica tries to escape her boring and somewhat tragic circumstances and dreams of traveling the world as an escape. She tries to move forward, but her past sometimes follows her. She has some very interesting jobs within the State Department, and Author Debbie really did a lot of research to make as much of it seem real as possible - It makes me want to go and visit these places one day [...]

    3. A very entertaining read but also came with quite a few life lessons. Around the world from Paris, Africa, Germany and other countries, she meets all kinds of people throughout her travels while trying to find meaning and love in her life. The exquisite descriptions of places and scenery was mesmerizing. I read Debbie's book 'The Salty Dog' and I have to say, she does a well defined job of captivating the imagination fully with meaningful detail. The main character, Jessica, is a strong person e [...]

    4. A very sweet read with a happy ending. I must thank the Author, Debbie White, for sending me her book. In reading a bit about her, I can vouch for her crafting a book from the heart that tells a storey with plenty of emotion while leaving you to fill in the details with your imagination. This is a perfect book for a rainy day read, to curl up in your favorite spot and just enjoy the story. You'll get to enjoy Jessica's journey from childhood to adulthood and experience her find true love. It doe [...]

    5. Passport to Happiness is a great coming of age story. Jessica leaves her small hometown to go to college. She dreamed of traveling the world & went to work for the government where she met unforgettable friends along the way & the love of her life. All of the characters are memorable & play an important role in Jessica's maturation. I loved the way this book tied in with The Salty Dog-another of Debby White's books. It was a short read but filled with many life experiences. It flowed [...]

    6. An interesting story of a girl's journey through life, finding what she didn't even realize she truly wanted. The story moved along at a good pace. It was a mini travel adventure, describing various places in the world, their food and customs. The dialog at time was a bit redundant with what had already been described in the prose. In addition a few grammatical errors could have been cleaned up with another round of editing. However, in all, it was a sweet tale of Jessica discovering the world a [...]

    7. "Passport to Happiness" is a clean and wholesome coming of age story. There's a unique style to the prose that took some getting used to. "Passport to Happiness" is written as if someone is sitting down with you in a living room with tea and telling you a long story. It was jolting in the way when one reads a past tense novel and shifts to one in present tense. After the first couple of chapters, you get over it. In fact, once I got used to it, it really reminded me of the style I'd see in movie [...]

    8. I received an ARC of PASSPORT TO HAPPINESS from the author DEBBIE WHITE. In exchange for an honest opinion. This is Mismousey’s very honest opinion of her book. I am so very honored to been allowed to have given the pleasure of reading and reviewing Ms.White’s book. This being the very first time that I have picked up a copy of one of her books to read. I must say that reading PASSPORT TO HAPPINESS- I will continue to read more of her book in the future. Ms. White has now been added to lis [...]

    9. * I received a copy of the ebook from the author in exchange for an honest review. * Each book I read by author Debbie White gets better and better. It is getting harder and harder to pick a favorite by her. Each book she writes I enjoy more than the last one. She is able to make the reader feel more and more like they are part of the story and the characters become more like friends and less like characters in the book. The characters and the story stays with the reader long after the book is d [...]

    10. a young women from a small town wanted to desperately to get out of Texas. She wanted to see the world, she thought that would bring her true happiness. She never thought a passport would bring her a whole different kind of happiness. One that she would have to give up her passport to have. Passport to Happiness by Debbie White is a fascinating book full of adventure and different cultures. You can actually envision the main character Jessica's adventures into this new life she starts working fo [...]

    11. I enjoyed reading this book of how things always look better on the other side of the fence. Sometimes growing up in a small town we do not realize that we have everything right in front of us. Jessica McCarthy is growing up in just that small town where everything looks better that is bigger, she is young and wants to see the world. Her ideas and dreams are further enhanced once she is introduced to working with the government in the Embassy. She gets what she has always wanted straight out of [...]

    12. I enjoyed this story of how a girl from a small town with, seemingly, limited possibilities had the honor and privilege - through her job - to visit many places and countries around the world. Each place she went, she met different people who helped impact her life in one way or another, just as she helped benefit the lives of others through the various endeavors, made possible by her employment.I was happy that, in the end, she found true love and happiness, despite the disappointments she had p [...]

    13. Very simple book about a girl who wants to travel the world, and gets that opportunity through employment with the State Department reaching out to aid other countries. She has trouble finding love because she was hurt by her high school boyfriend. She finds good friends each place she lives. The story has a happy ending. But I wasn't enthralled by this story, and I didn't fall in love with any characters. Some of the dialogue was weird, or poorly placed for me. Things sped along very quickly be [...]

    14. I would have given this a 2 1/2 starsThis book was a bit of a disappointment in that I felt I was reading a story, not living the story. It was a bit one dimensional and I never felt any connection to the characters, they just were not well developed, and it was hard to get a sense of who they really were. It was a story line that could have been interesting, the plot of the story was fun.

    15. Sometimes you never know what you're going into when you start a new book. This is the second book that I have reviewed from this author and let me just say she is well on her way to success! This book is fast paced, hard to put down, and lessons of life that you don't see coming! Great book for a good evening of reading!*received for an honest review*

    16. This Young Adult romance is a charming tale of a young woman’s journey to find herself, travel the world, and experience life.Read full review in the 2015 October issue of InD'tale Magazine.
