    2. 4 Star Read: The plot is good and the writing is excellent, it is the start of the books concerning Wild Powers. Anyone who likes unexpected surprises, it has a twist in the end and the one in the beginning. Among some of my favorites. Outstanding literary work. The characters are well developed, interesting. The liked characters are likable and the hated are unlikable. The writing is captivating enough to keep you interested until the end and leave you wanting more. It has a fairly original or [...]

    3. Source: I own a bind up books 7-9 of this series. Cost: Free gift Title:Huntress Series:Night World #7 Author:LJ Smith Overall Rating:4 stars I really liked this one, at first I wasn't sure because I'm kind of becoming cynical when it comes to love stories, especially in paranormal books as it tends to be a love story between an alpha and an omega figure. However, Jez and Morgead were both strong main characters which I really enjoyed, it definitely added to the story rather than take away from [...]

    4. Oh! This one was even better. I loved the way that the books are connected with each other. Lisa Jane Smith must be a great storyteller because her imagination is making me twist in my seat and wonder what will happen next in the series. This book is the story of Jez, a half-vampire half-human creature, who when learns about her mixed origins decides to leave from her gang because she knows that they will kill her if they find out what she is. But as the end of the World comes closer, old prophe [...]

    5. So I really like Jez, she is a likable character. I think she was in love with Morgead even before leaving, whch is probably right. Hugh an old Soul she loved, but could never have was a nice touch. So she was sent to invetigate, and steal the Wild Power form her old friends. She found out about her link to Morgead, and feared it, I don't really know which is it I like the msot, but the story wasn't boring, and Claire was not so annoying, as I thought she would be. The end was the right one, and [...]

    6. Huntress is book 7 in the Night World series.Another of my most favourites! We find out about the 4 Wild Powers. I remember reading this book for the first time and trying to figure who the Wild Power might be.

    7. This book is one of the books in the NIGHT WORLD volumns. this is my 2nd favorite one. i love the NIGHT WORLD series!

    8. Haven't read this since sometime last year and something made me want to reread again. Jez and Morgead are so cute together. And the story was believable, despite it being fantasy. I absolutely loved it! So here's the story: Jez is a 16 year old vampire who is in a gang with 5 other vampires. They kill humans for fun and because they think humans are vermin. In the first chapter Jez has a flashback of her childhood, when she was 3 or 4, of her parents getting murdered. Her uncle told her vampire [...]

    9. 5 stars. Still a favorite. Huntress was one of my top 3 favorite novels in the Night World series, if not my number 1 favorite and at this point it still is. I enjoyed the story from beginning to end and there was only a few minor issues that don't effect my rating at all. The story starts with Jezebel (Jez) Redfern a vampire and her gang toying with some human gang members. It was a fun scene, even though I knew that the humans would probably be dead soon. It's during this part that Jez realize [...]

    10. My rather lackluster opinions of the Night World books isn't dramatically improved by this book, but I did enjoy it more than I expected I would, and even more than I remembered doing when I first read it all those years ago.Part of my improved opinion of this book is due to the fact that in this, there are demonstrated consequences to a teenager living a secret double life as a vampire hunter. Not many consequences, I'll grant you, as Jez's family don't seem to understand the meaning of the wor [...]

    11. Have I ever mentioned how much I simply ADORE this book? No? Oh, well, allow me to do so now. I actually own the volume with 7, 8, and 9 all in one (as well as the first two volumes with 1-6) and have read them avidly. But I thought it would be easier to review a single story from the volume like this because then you know which one I'm talking about ;)I'm definitely a huuuuuge fan of Ms. Smith. No one writes romance, action, and forbidden perfect love quite like her! I reread Huntress the other [...]

    12. oh man, i love this one. the rest of the series is pretty good, but the end of the world stuff is just an awesome story, and i love how ljs tells it. (well, except for the ending. since it doesn't exist. still. 13 years later.) but seriously, i still have notebooks from high school with the prophecies and speculation scribbled all over them. there was probably a whole section of the lj smith SAT (yes, my best friend and i created a standardized test) devoted to itUS jez and morgead are my faaaaa [...]

    13. my favorite of the nightworld series. i read it when i was fifteen before these kind of romance became common. i felt it was too short and so much could have happened e.g. the hugh crush. i love jez. her name is like no other. she is a strong person and can be very fiery. she made me enjoy the book. her selflessness is very powerful yet real. her issues are serious yet mostly comicalrgead is my favorite nightworld guy. i love him and i love how jez distabilizes him. its very cute. his love for h [...]

    14. I loved this book! I must have read it a thousand times. Jez is a strong, stubborn and can take care of herself, something that is becoming rare in a lot of books i've read lately. The sopporting characters are important, they don't simply fade into the background like many other supporting characters do. Morgead is the ultimate bad boy: motorcycle, leather jacket, and a brooding attitude. I loved him. The dialoug with Jez and Morgead isn't so mushy that you roll your eyes, or so hostile that yo [...]

    15. What can I say? I looooved it.Pace? Quick with never a dull moment. Many twists and turns kept me absorbed and actually excited to keep reading. (believe me, that's hard to come by). I didn't feel boggled down by details; there's enough to satisfy the need for a backdrop and keep the story goin. The main characters, Jez and Morgead were fiery, likable, and well rounded characters. I genuinely wanted them to be together and never found myself rolling my eyes at their dialog or declarations of love [...]

    16. Quick read, classic LJ Smith. I liked the characters here more than in some of her other Night World books - here they seemed more well-rounded, and the chemistry between the soul mates was much better. Plot-wise, it was pretty exciting, as this book begins to bring the whole series together, and draws more attention to the mythology of the Night World and its history. I also thought that this was one of the more believable Night World stories - girl runs away and then comes back to reclaim her [...]

    17. (Im a spoiler!!Beware -roarr?-Four people have been born.Four Wild Powers. And only they can stop the Old Powers from ending the world. If they all fight together.Whats wrong with the council? They want to find the four Wild Powers, and its not because they want the Old Powers to stop.Nope, the Old Powers are a benifit to them since Night People are getting more powerful. The council wants the four Wild Powers so they can kill them. Why?Cause humans have always made Night people hide in the shadows. [...]

    19. My all time favourite read of my teen years. This was my top favourite night world book. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Morgead and Jezebel. From beginning to end I loved the emotions and the dialogue. I love the scene when Jez returns and the exchange between her and Morgead who now led the gang. Sixteen years on and I can’t believe I still don’t know what happens to the wild powers. I wonder who lives and who dies? Rumour had it that only one would survive and there were four of [...]

    20. The Night World series are fun, semi-one off YA books from the 90s. If you like supernatural, romance and ~tension, then these books are probably for you. They're a fun, quick read that are all loosely related, however you can read them out of order. This was the first one in the series that I read and I was very pleasantly surprised! I thoroughly enjoyed it and have continued to read the others within the series.

    21. Like always I feel as if my heart has been thrown into a washing machine after reading a book by L.J. I always wish I had her imagination (if I did I would day dream through a college lecture so that might be a bad idea). All in all A+ read and I cannot wait to pick up the next one!

    22. Finally! Everything is coming together and it feels like a cohesive story. Really liked the main character and the opening scene. So excited to almost be at the end of this series to see how everything turns out.
