    1. 1-hour Goddess is a great read for women and men alike, who are tired of working hard and not seeing results. Laugesen is fun and educating at the same time. Her thorough research teaches the reader about the basics of lifting and eating clean. I think there is a need for this book. Many fitness instructors and bloggers are telling women to go lift weights… but they don’t tell them how.     2. This is probably more of a 4,5 star review. I really like this book! Was one of the lucky ones to read it first, and it really offers some different views from what I'm used to. I've always thought that cardio was the best way for me to lose weight, but now I realize that this is so not the case. The author manages to inform about her theory in an easy, light tone while mixing it up with a bit of humor that works pretty well!Only comment is that I would have liked to have maybe pictures of the e [...]

Although I knew some of the concepts before (been into clean eating and resistance training for a while), I really believe that the information portrayed in this book should get out to more women. The author combines research and her own personal experience to explain why women should start lifting, and the information is very relevant these days - a lot of my friends still believe they will get "bulky" from lifting. It's great to see somebody taking action on this.

One of the most significant challenges around starting a new fitness or diet regime is taking time to gather the necessary information at level that is sufficient to give a ‘high-level’ perspective, whilst also providing actionable steps to get started.     5. I'm gonna go with a 4.5 for this fabulous little book. The 1-Hour Goddess is a quick yet informative read. It packs a lot of information in a small amount of pages, but it's not to the point that it's an overwhelming data dump. The tone is light, the writing simple, and the lessons make sense.     6. It is by no means a ground-breaking book. But one thing the author does well, is encourage and support. Weight-lifting is still seen as un-ladylike, and by changing this notion to, "Girls, Go Lift!" the change becomes tangible, and achievable at the same time. Yes, I might not agree with all of the things mentioned in this book, especially as a vegan, the "diet" portion of this book, is a no-win to me personally.     7. Loved it. I her ideas are great and the links within the book make the exercises easy to follow. The added fact that she has researched her findings impresses me. So often I pick up books that are just a persons opinion or ideas. This one is backed up with research Well done Anne


    8. It's a great book to stop having a "toxic" approach to self care, body care and food. It's really nice to read and she explains perfectly how to lean into a lifestyle that makes you both happier and healthier. It teaches you how to work with your body for the best, not how to try to control it :)
