    1. How to Look Happy opens with its heroine, up-and-coming interior designer Jen Dawson, having the worst day imaginable. First, she's stabbed in the back by her boss who uses her feminine wiles to steal a big client of Jen's, then she's dumped by her perfect-on-paper fiancé in the parking lot of the bar where she's been drowning her sorrows about work. The humanity! A blotto Jen retaliates by updating her Facebook status with the details of how she's been wronged. Of course, she doesn't even reme [...]

    2. From page one, this book was packed with conflict and I love me some conflict! You think you had a bad day, read this book! Poor Jenny had both her personal and professional worlds knock her on her ass in the same day, and whenever you thought it couldn't get worse, it did. I loved Jen. She was so "real." When things went bad, she often dealt with it by drinking and seeking the comfort of her friends before ultimately pulling up her big-girl panties and planning a course of action. I would defin [...]

    3. One of those reads that when I started, I was iffy on whether it'd be for me, but I enjoyed the book ( it actually reminded me of my first novel in both subject matter and style).Wiedower creates a likable, if somewhat misguided, heroine. Jennifer is a friend you'd sit and have a glass of wine with and the tone of the book is friendly and casual. And her love of interior design, wine, and her local restaurant scene speaks to many. The narrative flowed nicely and the cast of characters is well-ro [...]

    4. Stacey Wiedower has written a book that will keep you entertained from beginning to end. You won't want to put the book down! There are plenty of twists that will keep you guessing at what will happen next. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from this author. I received an advanced reader's copy of this manuscript from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    5. This is 3.5 star read! After reading a classic I wanted to pick something more modern and this book with familar trappings of a lady unlucky in love with social media mishaps seemed to fit the bill. I can safely say that this book had a lot of potential. It has interesting interior designing mileu, career oriented woman, a lot of funny one liners, but some sections of the book felt repetitive. There were lot of references to her work, which although interesting didn't warrant this much detailing [...]

    6. Really good romance! This was a good romance-likeable characters, good pace for the most part. Jen is an interior designer. Her boyfriend dumps her & she posts on Facebook when she is drunk, which causes her some problems. I like how she owns up to the problems she creates & learns from them. There is a little drama but not too soap opera dramatic. There are parts alluding to sex but no graphic content. Very little if any swearing. Quite an enjoyable romance.

    7. Couldn't put it down!I loved the story and the writing style. The characters were well developed so that the story pulled you right in! This is the first book that I have read from this author but I plan to read more for sure!

    8. Review originally posted on my blog livinglifewithjoy Check out my blog for more reviews, author interviews, excerpts and giveaways!Life rarely goes according to plan and that couldn’t be more true than in the third installment of the Unlucky in Love series by Stacey Wiedower. It’s amazing how many things go wrong in Jen’s life over the course of one week. Her fiancé dumped her (and turned out to be cheating on her), her boss steals her highest profile client, and she loses her dog to her [...]

    9. I was given this novel to read and review before its release date (you can find the review on bookschocolateandwine/). Now all I can think is ‘I have a new favorite Chick Lit author!!!’ I have read her work before, Now a Major Motion Picture, and just adored it. I dove into this story with ample excitement and was definitely rewarded for the time I spent reading it. I finished the last half of the novel in one night, forsaking some sleep and never regretting it. This novel was funny, threw y [...]

    10. This is the first book I’ve read in the Unlucky in Love series. (There are two previous books, 30 First Dates and Now a Major Motion Picture.) Although some of the characters tie in from previous books, this is definitely a series you don’t need to start from the beginning. But since I enjoyed this one so much, I think that you should. Wiedower’s previous work as an interior designer is really showcased in this book. It was neat getting a peek into the business side, and her descriptions o [...]

    11. What do you do when your fiance dumps you and it looks like the company you work for is in trouble? Well you put on a happy face and "fake it 'til you make it" or you create a list of what you need to do to be happy. This was a fun read, although at times you want to shake Jen and tell her to stop sticking her head in the sand in regards to her boss and the company she works for! But she has a lot of bad things happen at once (with a few good thrown in to balance it out) and it really is a learni [...]

    12. I received a review copyOMG. This book is so much fun! Ah, drunkbooking. Love that term! I could 100% relate with Jen all the way through this book. In an age where social media pretty much dominates everything, sometimes all you can do is laugh at your mishaps…and then try to get better, which is exactly what Jen does. It was so interesting for me to read about her interior design business as well, as that is an area that I am sadly quite terrible at, but it made me feel for a little bit that [...]

    13. This romantic comedy opens with a bang as the main character, Jen, is cheated out of an interior design job by her boss, and dumped by her fiancé on the same day. Unfortunately she compounds the problem by "drunkbooking" her situation on Facebook before passing out at home. The rest of the book details her attempt to turn things back around, starting with a checklist for reviving her professional career and rethinking her personal life. Although there were times that you wanted to shake her for [...]

    14. Super Fun Page-TurnerI was really excited to see another book by Stacey Wiedower and this turned out to be my favorite yet. Well-developed characters and a very entertaining and current premise made for a really fun reading experience. I found myself absorbed in the story -- a real page-turner that kept me reading into the night. I felt like I knew these characters who made me laugh, wince occasionally and tugged a few heartstrings. I highly recommend "How To Look Happy!"

    15. This was cute. I really enjoyed it. The characters were funny and easy to relate to. I chose this because I needed a "book set in your home state" for my reading challenge, and this is actually set in my hometown of Memphis, TN. It was great reading about the city in here. I could see all the locations in my head as I'm reading and it kind of made me homesick. It's part of a series, but you don't have to read the preceding books to understand anything. I have only read this one and had no proble [...]

    16. Stacey Wiedower is a wonderful author and I now own three of her books. This book had me laughing a lot and kept me in suspense as to what was going to happen next. Amelia and Carrie from the two previous books also appear in this one with the main character, Jen, who is an interior designer. Poor Jen's day goes from bad to worse when her fiance dumps her fror another woman. You would think things couldn't get much worse than that, but keep reading!I received an ARC of this book in exchange for [...]

    17. ****I received this book in exchange for an honest review****This was a cute book. I loved some characters and hated some (only the ones you're supposed to hate). Definitely a good read. I'd love to read more by this author.

    18. I enjoyed this as a chick lit story, the romance was a little thin but fortunately the author didn't try to push a HEA

    19. Way to go again Stacey! Loved the book. Loved seeing familiar characters coming into the story from time to time. Keep up the good work!
