    About "Susie Tate"

      • Susie Tate

Susie Tate is a general practitioner and when she s not working she s looking after her four yummy boys under five okay, well one is actually over thirty five but it s the mental age that counts Before becoming a GP she worked her way through a fair few hospital specialities including AE, general medicine, elderly care, cardiology, general and orthopaedic surgery and psychiatry Maybe it s a bit unusual for a doctor to write novels But she s worked with and treated some real characters in her time and been involved some pretty bizarre and often hilarious situations, and she wanted to use her experience to write what she hopes are funny, at times heartbreaking stories, with a real insight into what goes on behind the scenes in a hospital Her latest book Goodnight , which is currently available for pre order to be released on the 28th April, is her first without a medical setting and is a little darker than those in her Broken Heart series Anyone who would like an advanced review copy in exchange for an honest review before this book s release is welcome to email her at susietate79 gmail.

    1. Book – Beyond RepairAuthor – Susie TatePublication Date – October 11, 2015Genre – Romance Type – Stand Alone Cliffhanger – NoRating – 4.5 out of 5 Stars                                  Complimentary copy generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. My Thoughts - Story Hmmm…my thoughts?Well, there are a limited number of overseas books that I really enjoy and this was definitely one of them. I thought the language bar [...]

    2. So the writing was as strong as the first book I read by this author, but I had some problems with the story itself this time. Mostly around the behaviors of the leads. Sam decided like half a dozen times that he needed to stay away from Katie and it was justexhausting. Once? Fine. Twice? He better do a lot of groveling (he didn't). There should not be a third or fourth. But there was and Katie didn't even make him work for it. Now when you get to the end and find out that Sam has had PTSD this [...]

    3. I'm a sucker for a "broody" hero but this book almost took it too far. He went above and beyond to be hurtful to the heroine just so he could avoid her. He continually mentioned how he "wasn’t good enough for her". I can handle this book trait to an extent, but at times I did find it highly frustrating. The push and pull was ongoing. I did like things once he got his act together. The heroine was adorable and I really liked her character. I'm definitely going to read the next book in this seri [...]

    4. ** Received a free copy from the author for an honest review **This is the third book I've read of Susie Tate's and like the other two, I have given it a BIG FAT 5 STARS. What I love most about this book and the others Broken Heart Syndrome and Sticks and Stones, is the interaction and dialogue between the characters. It's full of banter and Welsh-isms which are just hilarious. The main characters in this story, Katie and Sam, both come with difficult back stories, but it has been written in suc [...]

    5. Thanks to the author for responding to a request from me for this book and thanks to AlexaG for recommending it to me. This is the second book I've read by this author and it won't be the last. I like the characters, the story, the interactions between the MCs (Katie and Sam), all the characters in this series, and the Welshisms (I want to use twp in a sentence if I was sure about how to pronounce it.) I was a little worried that this one would not be as good as Broken Heart Syndrome - I rated B [...]

    6. 1/24/18 just finished reading first 2 books in series and I am unsure why I thought they didn’t grovel enough. I still loved both of them, yes there could have been a little more grovel from Dylan I think but it was sufficient as is. That being said I think I’ll skip reading this one again and give Goodie’s book a try. Not my favoriteThis is definitely not my favorite book by this author. I think the hero was a major arse and was forgiven way too easy way too often. I prob won't read Goodi [...]

    7. Not sure4 starsThis book was good. It wasn't over the top exciting. It has the drama that we all seek in our reads but also something more, this author took on a task that brings light into ptsd without really going on about it till the final chapters and even then it wasn't full blown which surprised me. When touching on a subject such as ptsd I really did expect more knowledge but then again maybe it was just the right amount for this book.Sam is hot lolHappy Sexy Reading

    8. I received copy of this book from the author but I wasn't asked to write a review, just to let her know if I liked it.This is another thing why I absolutely ADORE Susie Tate. The main reason though is her incredible talent for telling stories that grip your heart, that let your imagination roam and give you lots and lots of laughs.'Beyond repair' is a third book by the author. So, we keep the medical theme(Susie herself is a doctor IRL lol), like in the previous two, but we slightly change scenery [...]

    9. Really enjoyed this book!I'm not comfortable writing reviews, but made an exception for this one for a couple of reasons. This book made me laugh. A lot. It also made me cry and really feel for the characters. This is the first book in the series that I've read (but it won't be the last) however it don't the first in the series. It would be helpful if the books were numbered so they could be read in order. And being a lifelong Texan, I never realized English was also a foreign language! Turning [...]

    10. It has been a while since I have read this book however I remember my dislike for the H and the over the top zany of the h. It was all right. I give books a star if I make it to the end because I will quit in the middle and go look for a review with all the spoilers.

    11. Great book! This was such an excellent read with all of the humor and heart needed for a great story that makes you laugh and tugs at your heart without being over the top. Excellent book and the writing was fantastic I love this author!!

    12. My first time of reading a book by this Author & it certainly won’t be my last. Although it is a standalone book, I’ve fallen for the characters involved in this story, I def want to read more. The story of Sam & Katie, made me laugh , made me sad, made me think and sure does make we want to visit Wales again!

    13. Great read! This book was hard for me to put down. I found myself even reading on the small screen of my phone. If you like a bit of suspense and a lot of fun, pick this up, you won’t be disappointed!!

    14. This was an Amazing BookI am American so the language differences were fun, especially when at the end of the chapter she described the unknown word as posh, which really doesn't clear up the translation for an American. But I loved this story . I thought the lead female was positive, adorable and forgiving and the male lead was hopeless, unforgivable and sexy. But they were two parts of the same puzzle. Loved it. Read it now.

    15. Katie was hilarious. I have luck just like her. She and Sam had so many things in common, even if he tried to escape that. Beyond Repair was a little more emotional. I have a soft spot for any active duty or veteran story. I had my fingers crossed for Sam and Katie since page 1. *Read through Kindle Unlimited.

    16. A beautiful story, tastefully written that one can't help but fall in love with. This was a sweet and easy read. I would recommended this book without a second thought. It was my first from the author and would most definitely be reading more. Please read you would not regret it.

    17. I fell in love with Sam and Katie, Beyond Repair was a brilliantly paced read with captivating characters and a wonderfully balanced story line. It had it all, romance, humour and conflict. I couldn’t put it down and can’t wait to read more of your work.

    18. Loved this!I usually don't like books set in the UK, but this one won me over! Humor, love, danger! It was the perfect mix!

    19. Spectacular!I would've given a higher rating if I could because once started I could not put the book down. Got to the end and wanted more. Loved Katie and Russell took. Actually if I could I would've fallen in love with Sam. Thank you.

    20. Wow, this was good - enemies (kinda) to lovers, jerky hero redeemed great read just a lack of heat :(Title: Beyond RepairAuthor:Susie TateSeries: Broken RepairGenre: Contemporary RomancePlot Summary: Bright, vivacious, and quirky Katie isn’t used to people just flat out not liking her - maybe they think she talks to much or she needs more fashion sense - but she is kind and loving to everyone she meets, so it balances out. Except with Sam, her best friend’s husband’s business partner. For [...]

    21. This story had me hooked from the beginning to the end and I've only just managed to put it down as I've just finished reading it, I liked both the H and h Sam and Katie and I liked the different storylines about each others pasts, Katie made me laugh as I could just see her riding her scooter and I enjoyed the banter between her and her gay bff Russell and the antics with Sarah's kids but I did feel for her at the beginning and I could feel her humiliation which made me dislike Sam just a littl [...]

    22. This is the story of Katie, Sarah's best friend. Sarah's husband Rob is in partnership with Sam, they were in the army together and now run some kind of security service. Katie finds Sam very attractive but he has always looked at her with distain. Certainly, being vertically challenged with curly hair makes her very different from the models and C-list actresses he normally dates. The book opens with Katie babysitting for Sarah's boys and making snow angels - although she is trying to achieve a [...]

    23. Katie is at Rob and Sarah's for a dinner party, Sarah was very tired so Katie said that she would watch the boys while she took a nap, while they were outside playing Sam came with his girl Lydia. When they get inside they see that Katie has burned supper. Lydia thinks that she is horrible "help." Katie went to go get ready for the party and she overheard Rob and Sam talking in the kitchen. Katie decides that she is ready to go home, what really surprised her was that Sam stood up and said that [...]

    24. Im so glad for excerpts and previews because this was money well spent. I bought this book right before I went into a class and it was agony to go through that and go grocery shopping when all I wanted was to start the book in earnest. This book did not disappoint in the least. I totally "felt" Katie's la la land vibe and was worried she would be a wallflower. Totally unecessary of course. She showed her backbone in the face of Sam's very alpha man ways and he helped her get there. He was a tota [...]

    25. Beyond Repair is a novel by Susie Tate. It is an unusual look at romance and PSTD. It is set in Wales and uses some Welsh terms that are explained at the end of the chapters. Although there is nothing wrong with using it, the language I did not understand being put in bothered me. It upset the flow of the story just a little. Katie was at a disadvantage again when she saw Sam for the first time in six years. She was on her back in the snow making markings with three of Sarah and Rob’s four lit [...]

    26. After reading 'Broken Heart syndrome' I started looking for other Susie Tate books. And yes: Beyond Repair was just out.A new favorite for sure, this book tells the story of bubbly Katie, small in stature but very warm and likeable. For the last 6 years she has been attracted to Sam, but he has made it very clear he has nothing but dislike for her. The secondary characters are from the earlier Susie Tate books 'Broken Heart Syndrome' and 'Sticks and Stones'. Katie has a stalker and once Sam disc [...]

    27. Not a DIY!Very interesting book set in Wales. I love reading books set in countries with different languages. In addition, even though the characters speak English, it is English with Welsh, British, and Russian idioms. I also loved that the characters were of different ages and different sexual preferences. The children were typical rough housing and messy little boys but everyone accepted them as they were behaving in a manner appropriate for their get and development and they were accept e d [...]

    28. Love It!! My first book by this author and OMG it was an amazing read. I belly laughed and even shed tears. Brilliantly written with brilliant characters which were all relatable. Katie and Sam stole my heart and let's not forget Lady Mufflington la Foof best name for a cat ever ❤️

    29. Susie Tate is one my new favourite authors. I enjoyed being able to read different perspectives and they were irritating. You know how some authors feel they have to retell the same chapter from different perspectives word for word and it can get tiring? This was NOT that! I loved being able to hear from all they characters even if it was just a snippet. It was so relevant! Points for you Ms Tate. I absolutely loved the characterisation of Katie. I loved her touch feely personality and how that [...]
