    1. An excellent read for those who enjoy traditional "sweet". Regencies or G rated romance. Georgie Lee has crafted an engaging story of white lies and true love with an authentic period feel.

    2. I thoroughly enjoyed Lady's Wager. Charlotte and Edward's romance really drew me in and had me wishing and hoping that they could work out their very real differences (and since it is a romance, we know they will, but still the author made me worried for them). The author did a great job of showing us the Regency world with accurate details and precise description. I love the author's heroines - Charlotte is spirited and had her own opinions, interests, and goals. Edward is everything you want a [...]

    3. I received this book for free in exchange for my honest review.Charlotte Stuart is an heiress who enjoys giving money to charity to help the less fortunate. She had fallen in love once, but he was just with her for her money, and she was mortified when she discovered that. Now she is back in London high society where she meets Lord Woodcliff. She isn’t of her feelings for him, but she knows that she will not make a fool of herself again.I love reading short historical romance novels. They do n [...]

    4. This was the first book by Georgie Lee that I've read and I really liked it.I'm unfamiliar with the Regency period so I don't know if the book was true to the time period, but I did find myself transported back in time to when society was completely different in regards to its ethics and customs.I liked the love story of Charlotte and Edward and liked both these characters, and I loved the supporting characters too, even the dog Minnie was lovable.I found this book to be an enjoyable light, swee [...]

    5. I really like this story. I liked Charlotte and Edward and their struggle with pride and judging people without getting to know them. Charlotte was worse than Edward but the struggle kept the story moving. I don't read this genre often but books as god as this one have me reading more. I did enjoy it so much.

    6. A quick nice read, although the characters aren't really period - the heroine is a probably a bit to emancipated for the time. But the writing was entertaining and the story moved at an amicable pace, so I was willing to overlook that.

    7. It had the bones of a good story but there was too much distrust & their fragile connection, on several occasions, easily broken with a simple misspoken phrase.

    8. In her novel, Lady’s Wager, Georgie Lee wages a war of the hearts between her hero and heroine in their struggle with trust, especially in a society where finding love was considered a luxury that many could not afford, for marriages of convenience was common and detrimental to women of good fortune. Lee takes it further by introducing a hero who is rich, but pretends to be poor so that he can find a woman who would love him for himself and not his fortune. The story begins with a reminder to t [...]

    9. I liked the plot, the setting and the back-story of the characters. Unfortunately, the actual execution of the storyline was lacking. I didn't feel the chemistry between the two leads and the dialogue was rather flat. Some humorous banter would have helped in the romantic development, rather than suddenly going from 'I find him such an arrogant bore' to "You two are so obviously in love and meant for one another". (Henry)The thing that killed the story for me, though, was that I didn't like the [...]

    10. I really enjoyed reading this Regency historical. The heat level is sweet, but the chemistry is there between the main characters so the tension remains high. The story is rich in historical details (art and medical) and the conflict is not flimsy or solved/dismissed with a conversation. The characters leapt off the page as I read, as they were well drawn and motivated. The secondary characters also helped develop the story and didn't detract from it in the least. Hope you enjoy it as much as I [...]

    11. Fans of historical romances may enjoy this, since the characters were likable and the action pretty standard for the sub genre. A subplot about medicine of the time was interesting. The writing felt a bit clunky, though.

    12. An excellent read for those who enjoy traditional "sweet". Regencies or G rated romance. Georgie Lee has crafted an engaging story of white lies and true love with an authentic period feel.

    13. Nice sweet read about two idiots who are meant for each other but let other people's past actions. get in their way. A minus for using logic everywhere else in their lives but in the romance area.

    14. Lady's Wager is my first book by Georgie Lee. Ms Lee has impressed me with her well-written story. Charlotte and Edward's story is a twisted tale loaded with awesome characters. Ms Lee has loaded her book with lots of drama, bits of humor and suspense. This story is a clean read, appropriate for any age. Lady's Wager is a fairly short read, a great choice for historical romance fans with limited time for reading. I enjoyed Lady's Wager and would happily read more from Georgie Lee in the future.
