    1. Well, I'll say one thing right off the batis is not a book to start before bed! From the first page, I was riveted and read into the night!I'll dispense with my usual places, dates and characters. I want to get right into this review.Slight synopsis:(view spoiler)[Debra is a woman who loves her children, and has an amazing provider for a husband. All seems right with the world until the moment she sees her children are not where she left them. She asked them to stay at the entrance to the mall w [...]

    2. Debra was celebrating with her children, as school was about to begin. A shopping spree for new clothes, a movie, and eating out. Her husband was a well-known lawyer who liked order in his life, whether it was work, home, eating habits, you name it.As Debra and the children were leaving the mall, it was pouring down buckets of rain. She had 8-yr-old son Chad wait with his sister, Lauren, 5, at the mall door while she got the car. When she arrived at the mall door, her nightmare began---the kids [...]

    3. A totally unexpected parental abduction, sends Mom into a torrent of fear, guilt and hopelessness. Written with compassion and the strength of Mom's relationship with God after years of shunning religion. Mom had NO prior relationship with God until AFTER her husband abducted his children. Well written, good character development. I'll be looking for more DiAnn Mills books. From back cover:"Gone in the blink of an eye. Debra Patterson's two young children are missing from a Houston mall. How will [...]

    4. I enjoyed reading Footsteps because the story was fast paced and kept you wanting more from the very beginning. You become desperate with Debra to find out what happened to her children. What I loved most about the book is that DiAnn Mills tells a story about a character experiencing painful trials handled from a biblical worldview. I appreciate that immensely. I intend to add more of her fiction to my reading pile.

    5. Very goodWhat a joy to read a good story, well-written and well-edited. It is mystery with adventure and a touch of romance. Good read!

    6. SO GREAT!!!!!☺I felt like I was reading a movie,so so so suspenseful, with surprising twists and a cast of great positive characters not ashamed to have faith through the darkest of nightmares.o thumbs up for this Christian author, and I would not hesitate to read more of her marvelous books!!!!!

    7. Ok, but a little too drawn out, then ending was tied up too quickly.I have enjoyed her other series much better, especially both of the FBI series. This one was a little too predictable.

    8. There are really no words to describe how this book has affected me. As a mother of three children, I agonized deeply over the complete anguish Debra experienced when her children and husband vanished without a trace. Debra was not a Christian, although her best friend Jill was. But in the time after the abduction, Debra learned about God and let Him take full control of her life and the lives of the children she so desperately loved and missed. Debra went through so much trauma in learning abou [...]

    10. Footsteps is another great novel from DiAnn Mills. When a mother's two children are abducted she frantically searches for them, but they are gone. The police and FBI join the hunt for the children and she learns that it was her husband who took them, but where did he take them? When her husband turns up dead in Mexico the trail goes cold and she fears she will never find her children. Birthdays and Christmases come and go. Will she ever find them? Are they alive? Against all hope she continues to [...]

    11. DiAnn Mills has lived up to my expectations, again, with another great Christian Romantic Suspense tale. She takes the reader on a faith journey fraught with a parent's worst nightmare --the abduction of, not just one child (a horror all its own), but of all of the central character's children. There is nothing trite about Debra's faith journey in this tale; nor does she find easy answers or gain a quick resolution to her nightmare. It is hard road that she is compelled to travel, for years, wit [...]

    12. What a horrible thing to happen to someone. This story certainly opened my eyes to what a few people in the world have to deal with. Then having all the right people doing their jobs to find the missing. Hope only comes from the Lord and if this happened to a believer/ non believer testing of ones faith, and what family and friends say to fuel your faith or attack your faith. This book has me ready for a book coming out soon where someone's identity is a lie. Without Jesus this would send you ov [...]

    13. Awesome Suspense, Great Story, and a truly amazing depiction of Christian faith and a journey of trials. This is one of those books you can't put down. It keeps y on the edge of your seat, the story line is something a little different, but captures your heart in minutes. Watching a very believable conversion to Christ and then the spiritual growth that develops with the story. Definitely one of my favorite reads. Will be purchasing more from this author.

    14. Unlike any Christian Mystery I have ever read before. A heart rending journey for any woman to have to live, as a wife or a mother. And it is more true to life than most novels in that it isn't quickly solved and hunky dory in three or four months. Six more and wedding bells.I felt more like this could have been taken from someones life. There were parts that were achingly written. I would recommend this to all my friends who are Mom's. Especially Mom's of young children!

    15. This book drew me in from page one, was a little slow in the middle, but then picked up its pace toward the end. Although the end result was predictable the journey was interesting. I liked that the characters' flaws and struggles were very realistic. Faith journeys are not always easy and some answers to prayer take longer to be answered. This book illustrated that well.

    16. This book is a good idea, but the author seemed to have a hard time putting her thoughts on paper. The main character "struggles" with obstacles that last a day or two. Its not very realistic. The ending is very sudden as well and very short. Not enough detail after how long and drawn out the rest of the book is.

    17. This is a great book it keeps you hanging on til the end .At first you wander what was she thinking leaving the kids alone like that but it was only for a second to get the car because it was raining so hard you just never think it can happen to you but it can in an instant. Its one book you don't want to put down.

    18. I like DiAnn Mills writing and her books, I just have a hard time with her endings. They are so quick about 1 - 2 chapters. It always feels like a bit of a let down. But this book, like her others, had a good storyline. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline itself. I would recommend this book as long as you don't mind quick endings.

    19. FootstepsI loved this book! It kept me wanting to read until finished. DiAnn Mills is an excellent author, and I would recommend her books to any one who loves to read. Her faith in Jesus is portrayed in her book's, and that's the reason i love to read her books.

    20. Child CareAs a mother my heart ached while reading this book. The book is great but difficult to read wondering about the welfare of the children. You will have to read the book for an explanation of the review.

    21. The message of faith and hopeThe message of faith and hope in God in rough times is evident in this book! The friendship between Cale and Debra and correlating it to Ruth's story was poignant and added more to their story! Kudos on another fabulous book!!!

    22. Very well-written, suspenseful story that women, especially, will enjoy. The story tugs at your heart strings and keeps the reader guessing at how the many problems will be resolved, or if they will. Though I generally prefer more action, I enjoyed Footsteps.

    23. I couldn't put this one down. I was staying up way too late. This book jumps right into the story. She's at the mall, it's very rainy. She leaves her two kids on a bench at the entrance to get her car. When she comes back they're gone.

    24. This is my all-time favorite book. I don't want to give anything away but if you love mysteries there is no way you won't fall head over heels for this book. I have a copy of this book and have it in my Nook as well. I re-read this book often. Highly recommend.

    25. wow this book was sooo goodGreat to see someone come to the Lord and realize the importance of putting God first. Great authorI need to find out if she has more books!

    26. I couldn't put this book down! I read this book in less than 24 hours, and that rarely happens these days! While this book isn't entirely popular, it's a great, captivating story and a quick read!

    27. So good!!! I loved this book. Couldn't put it down!! I was able to get this book for free, but it is well worth the money to buy it!

    28. Such a good story, but it made me want to hug my kids more! This kind of story is so hard to imagine really happening, but sadly I am sure it is true in a few cases.
