    1. Here are my notes about the book:The main point is: you only have a business if you have paying customers. It's reasonable that you test your price hypothesis since the day one. The book teaches you how to bootstrap a business idea in 7 days, from idea to launch, with less than $100.In a nutshell:Day 1 - Bootstrap the business ideaDay 2 - MVPDay 3 - Business nameDay 4 - WebsiteDay 5 - Market your businessDay 6 - Set targetsDay 7 - LaunchSome interesting notes:- "A wantrepreneur is someone who wa [...]

    2. Despite what you might think based on the "7 Day Startup" title, it's not a gimmick by any means - sure it sounds like a dream to start something in 7 days but with Dan's advice you'll be setting a good trajectory if you do and honestly probably better off than many of us who normally overthink it and make a whole lot of assumptions without testing any of them. Even if your goal isn't starting in 7 days, his is a very practical book with quality advice from someone who is transparent about their [...]

    3. Get off your ass. You only have 7 days to launch! It's amazing what you can do when you have a tight deadline. It gives day-by-day actions to get your startup started.

    4. I finished the 7 day startup written by Dan Norris yesterday, and I have been eager to share some thoughts on it. This book touches on probably one of the most popular subjects to talk on, and I was a bit disappointed. I had expected him to upon up the world of startup, but I left empty handed. He writes superficial and way too simplistic. I did get some good things out of it, as he was sharing a lot on his own personal experiences in startup. It is clear that this is an independent production, [...]

    5. I truly liked this guy's down-to-earth style and advice, whether it is applied to a startup (probably not for everyone), a new project at work/home, or a volunteering mission. My favorite two sentences from the whole book were: (1) "people don't know what they don't want until they are forced to open their wallets," and (2) "free users are not the same as paying customers."These two, and the general remark about how useless it is to obsess about media coverage, the logo design, or the elevator p [...]

    8. Very inspirational and motivational, easy to read (I'm not an English speaker, but it was very understanding to me).The only negative point I find about this book : it's looks more like a (very) long blog article from a webentrepreneur than a real book. It's not the next "Zero To One", but it's definitely worth the reading.

    9. It's portrays the exact mindset that a startup owner should haveI really enjoyed the book :DUsually, I'm the kind of guy that gets sold by numbers, but the book practically encourages the 'find the numbers on your own' kind of thinking. Lived it, loved it!

    10. If you are thinking of starting your own business, this book will give you a quick view on how you should begin and what to expect. It's good enough for beginners.

    11. A must-read for first-time entrepreneurs that are wondering how to start. It covers everything you need to know to set things in motion quickly. I've rated it 4/5 because it's fairly focused on the business type that the author is familiar with but most of the ideas can be applied to all sorts of other verticals.

    12. A must-read for first-time entrepreneurs that are wondering how to start. It covers everything you need to know to set things in motion quickly. I've rated it 4/5 because it's fairly focused on the business type that the author is familiar with but most of the ideas can be applied to all sorts of other verticals.

    13. HelpfulHelpful, practical, do-able. One of a handful of books that effectively explains how to succeed through start-up. I will be putting these principles into practice.

    14. The book is good is mixture between the most relevant books on entrepreneurship and the author's key lessons on his entrepreneurial journey.Another good mention, the book highlight the wantrepreneur state.with the startup bubble everybody wanna come up with the next Facebook or Uber, but few people will put the right effort to make it happen.Piece of advice:After reading the book, try to deal/cope with any wantrepreneur trait, then you will be good go.

    15. Reviewed as part of my 100 books challenge: jimmylongley/blog/books/Run-on Sentence SummaryA little startup book that stresses the importance of getting in front of customers as soon as possible.ImpressionsThe core idea of this book is that far too many potential startup founders spend way too much energy on an idea and not nearly enough validating it and finding customers. As a challenge, he insists that you should launch within one week in order to immediately start evaluating if the idea is a [...]

    16. This book is amazing! It sparks the fire again! There are some really great ideas how to build a Startup in 7 days and get the most out of it. Of course, this can be hard to accomplish, but the advice from the author will help you get there. There are some really good points like focusing on retention and product, test every assumption and don't waste your time doing stuff which are senseless. Yes, the author puts some kind of a template to which your idea should conform, but I also really think [...]

    17. Dan Norris: 7 days to turn your idea into a real startupQuite a few things were achieved in 7 days, according to the Bible. You may not be God, but Dan Norris firmly believes you too can achieve something incredible in just one week: launching your own startup. In The 7 Day Startup he shows you exactly how to do that. When you find yourself at a crossroads in your life, what are you thinking of?.

    18. So I've been in the "wantrepreneur" category for almost as long as I can remember. I always find myself talking about building something, but I'm always either afraid to start or I fail to follow through. This book was the encouragement I needed to just get started and trust that I have enough knowledge. The scariest part of the book is that I may run counter to a lot of the wisdom you've read in other places. I think a strong ability to integrate what this book says with what you already know is [...]

    19. Very nice book to show you that you CAN build a business in 7 days. After reading the Lean Startup, I held validation in a pedestal, but this book teaches you that validation is not the holy grail of starting a business, and that work (and fun) really only starts AFTER you've launched. Any other task that doesn't help you to that purpose is pretty much useless. It also provides general business advice that will be very helpful for first time entrepreneurs (as myself). Thank you for the book, Dan [...]

    20. quick and dirty. This book cuts through a lot of the startup glamour and gets right in to what you really need to work on if you want to start something that makes money relatively quickly. Fancy logos and expensive marketing software just isn't needed in the beginning. Seems obvious, but as they say, common sense ain't that common. It's a quick read so do yourself a favor and pick it up.

    22. It's a smiple read with clear-cut, straight-forward details on how to go about going from idea to launch. It destroys many assumptions and theories by getting you from A to B as quickly as possible without all the fuss normally generated by other small business ventures. If you've been toying with the idea of creating a startup, this is a great motivation and a necessary read to do just that.

    24. A mixed bag of feelings. Not many new things that haven't been written. Start Small, Stay Small comes to mind in particular. The author based the book on his limited experience coming from running software service businesses. Some ideas are not applicable to SaaS, software product and other types of businesses.

    25. The kick in the pants you needed yesterday. This book is exactly what I've been looking for in learning to get a business started. Every tidbit is immediately actionable and just reading it gives you the drive you need to start working on your dreams. Read it. Stop making excuses why you haven't started, read this book and learn what you need to get started yesterday.

    26. Most practical book for starting fastWhen I got this book I thought starting a business in 7 days was not possible. This book changed my mind. My new business launches in 3 days. Starting at the beginning this book gives practical advice for what to accomplish on each day. While the advice won't work with every business it will work.

    27. Direct, to the point, to launchA great book, though it's definitely best to have already done idea in mind so you can actively be thinking about how to implement every step. This book is a keeper especially side it serves as a good reference material for online resources, templates, speakers, and even metrics. I'm glad I read it.

    28. Just the way i like No blutter blutter n straight to the pointJust the way i like No blutter blutter n straight to the pointLooking forward to implement many stuff out of this.

    29. It has advice from the author's experience, and he seems to speak directly about what he learned. Really good real-life advice, unlike other normal business books which are more abstract and theoretical.
