    1. 2.5 stars - ok- There was a lot that was fun about the superhero part of the story and I liked our superheroine, who is a mild mannered kindergarten teacher by day. What didn't work for me was the romance and that the police man leading man who should be normal hero material (as opposed to super hero material) wasn't. He ruins the leading lady's life and does it in a way the makes him seem very weak and selfish, and made me not like him at all - a rare occurrence but a kiss of death for me. When [...]

    2. Reviewed for Read Your Writes Book ReviewsA little fact: Less than a fifth of superheroes are female (in the media that is). Superheroines are underrepresented, so when I saw the title of this book, my inner Wonder Woman donned her tiara, indestructible bracelets and did a happy dance. Yes, I have a huge love of the superhero genre, and Peyton Pearson has ingratiated herself by entering the realms of loveable kick-ass women who save the day, despite the fact that she would rather be flying under [...]

    3. My Review:I've read and loved Patricia Eimer's Speak of the Devil series, so when I saw that she was starting up a superhero series, I was ready to grab it. This is a fabulous start to that series. In this world, set in St. Louisyay, there is controversy over the superheroes. Not everyone thinks they are a good thing and when a superhero goes wrong, who's going to stop them? They have super-powers. As a result, most the superheroes are trying to stay VERY low-key. All except for Peyton's exwho is [...]

    4. After tainted medicine turns Peyton Pearson into a superhero her dreams of a quiet life were doomed the only bright side is she now lives next door to Dylan, a hot police offer…if she can convince him that superheroes are not the villains in disguise of the earth in this captivating fantasy romance. This fast paced and smooth flowing plot ensnares readers with a fascinating spin to comic book superheroes and their sidekicks. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and the we [...]

    5. This concept had A LOT of potential. I personally love everything to do with superheroes and I immediately requested it as soon as I saw that it was a superhero romance.I understand that this is primarily a romance but I guess I expected more action (of the superhero kind). The book and plot was interesting enough. I guess I just expected more.I think I'll check out the other books in the series now that my expectations have been adjusted and enjoy them even more.

    6. This is the complete review as it appears at my blog dedicated to reading, writing (no 'rithmatic!), movies, & TV. Blog reviews often contain links which are not reproduced here, nor will updates or modifications to the blog review be replicated here. Graphic and children's novels reviewed on the blog will generally have some images from the book's interior, which are not reproduced here.Note that I don't really do stars. To me a novel is either worth reading or it isn't. I can't rate a nove [...]

    7. Review from: mischievousreads/***ARC courtesy of Entangled Publishing in exchange for honest reviewThis is the first time I've actually read a superhero romance genre, definitely one of the plot twists that are pretty much underrated. Kudos to Patricia Eimer for writing about supers instead of vampires and werewolves, and a big plus to female supers, which I adored from start to finish. Peyton Pearson is a superhero, and not only just any superhero; she's Fantastigirl. Having drunk a tainted pil [...]

    8. A fun and cute read! There's also an important message in here about tolerance and prejudice, but on the whole this novel doesn't take itself too seriously, which is good. Superhero books need to be campy and fun. Throw a hot cop into the mix, and hey, you're golden ;)I enjoyed the world that Ms. Eimer has created here. Superheroes and villains exist, and are (somewhat) out of the closet--though there's a great deal of mistrust and fear surrounding those with supernatural powers. (The S.I.R.--Su [...]

    9. I have always been a sucker for a good superhero story. Most of the time, those superheroes are men. Let's face it, it's still a man's world. So whenever I get a chance to check out a female superhero, I'm there. There are times you disappointed, like with My Super Ex-Girlfriend. Others where it's almost there, like with Electra. Rarely do you get a truly fabulous female heroine, though they are out there. Sometimes I think the search for the next big superheroine is the best part.Peyton Pearson [...]

    10. Quick, enjoyable read. Review to come closer to release date! Full Disclosure: Received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This was a quick, enjoyable read that engaged me enough to leave nasty notes on my kindle, along the lines of "NO YOU IDIOT. I cannot BELIEVE you are this stupid!" and it was against the male lead, Dylan, NOT the female protagonist, Peyton! HahaI suppose I should say that I'm utterly prejudiced in favor of this book. See that one word in the title, SU [...]

    11. Fantasticly super without being too cliched. With the popularity of superheroes moving from being mostly in comics to both the big and small screen it should come as no surprise that here and there you can find a fun book featuring them too. I'll admit it I freaking LOVE superhero romances. They're like catnip to my inner nerd girl. So I was super excited (pun not intended) to find out that Covet was going to have one out this month. Even more excited when I saw it's intended to be part of a ser [...]

    12. Peyton never wanted to be a superhero. She just wanted a normal life as a teacher. thanks to a jerk ex husband her life is not what she thought it would be. She is hiding who she is from the world and especially her hot next door neighbor. Dylan likes Peyton and when she becomes homeless he offers her a place to stay. His daughter loves her and he likes her. What he doesn't know is she is one of the superheroes he wants to unmask. He is a member of the anti superheroes who want them all unmasked [...]

    13. A fun, zany romance, HIS SECRET SUPERHEROINE gives the familiar “big secret” romance trope a superhero twist. With an underlying message about tolerance and risk, the surface of this story zips along with funny dialog and don’t-need-super-sight-to-see-it-coming conflicts.Peyton’s initial “big secret”, her alter ego as Fantastigirl, doesn’t detract too much from the initial storyline. Or at least, having it out in the open that she’s a superhero “sympathizer” while Dylan belon [...]

    14. The title alone was intriguing enough for me to pick this little tidbit and crack it open to see exactly all the secrets inside. It is not often superheros are used as a theme in novels in romance because comics and such seem to have the market on them so it makes this even more fun to read. All this woman wants is a uneventful life once she gets away from the snake of her ex husband who is also a superhero. Having tricked her into turning into one did nothing to have her love him more plus him [...]

    15. Peyton's just trying to live a normal and quiet life. Unfortunately normal and quiet was shoved out the window when her ex-husband switched out her birth control pills with a medication that made her into a superhero just like him. Now divorced all she wants to do is teach her students, and pine after the handsome police officer across the street while staying under the radar. When she is evicted, her sexy neighbor Dylan offers up his spare room, only problem is he doesn't like superheros and ha [...]

    17. 3 starsHis Secret Superheroine is the first book of new series by Patricia Eimer that told the story about Peyton Pearson, a kindergarden teacher turn to be a superheroine called Fantastigirl. Okay, the name is silly, and the story overall is silly, zanny and have so much tongue-in-check dialogue with Ms Eimer throw many superheroes name (Spiderman, Thor and Loki, the last not superhero of course) here and there. But, actually she give a deeper message, that people always fear what they didn't u [...]

    18. This was a really fun read, and let's face it who doesn't love superheroes! Even better though is that this book centres around a superheroine (with several others as minor characters). There are male superheroes in the book, and I liked that the main one was characterised in the way he was, basically just human. Dylan and Peyton's relationship started off really sweet in the kind of pervy neighbour way they had going, and I enjoyed how it progressed throughout the book. I also liked that Peyton [...]

    19. **A gifted copy was provided by the publisher for an honest review**This is a story that was not very interesting. I found myself half way into the book having to try to find something to keep me drawn in. It was very campy and was full of talk, not much action that I could read.Basically Kindergarten Teacher Peyton Pearson was given a batch of bad medicine and it turned her into a superhero. It keeps her single so she during the day is a teacher and at nite, her alter-ego keeps the city safe fr [...]

    20. Peyton Pearson is a kindergarten teacher. Also, she is secretly a super heroine. Thanks to her now ex-husband, Captain Fantastic. Her life is in shambles and she's the target of The Safer America Party who preach that her kind is evil. Her life is further complicated when she's evicted and moves in with her neighbor Officer Dylan Wilson to help care for his daughter, Liza. Things couldn't get worse or could they? I love this story! It is a fast-paced adventure with a liberal mix of passion and d [...]

    21. I am a lover of all things superhero: The Avengers, Ironman, Captain America, Thor, TMNT, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc. And this book is no exception. It was cute, sweet, funny, exciting and a little suspenseful. Peyton was pure gold as Fantastigirl (cool superheroine name!). She was giving, loving and kind. She would put other before herself and developed a strong bond between Liza and Dylan. Dylan was a strong man, protective father who in turn fell for Peyton. Their friendship was genuine wit [...]

    22. I was given an ARC of this title for an honest reviewThis ended up being surprisingly tame on the heat meter. There was a lot of innuendo and attraction but it falls much lower on the heat meter for actual action. It was an interesting storyline with a single dad police officer and a kindergarten teacher who just happens to be a super heroine. There's prejudice, evil villains and skeevy exes. It looks like this could be the first in more super hero tails to come, but I'm not 100% sold. There was [...]

    23. I finished this book a while ago and never got around to reviewing it and I sorta feel bad. I just wasn't all that into the story. For me Peyton was a super who was keeping it quiet. Her neighbor is the leader of outing the supers to protect the public. Well of course they would be close. This book had potential but I just kinda wasn't all that into it. I really didn't like Dylan and if you can't like the leading characters the book takes a hit no matter how awesome the storyline is.

    24. 3.7 starsFun read but hero made me sooo mad I'm not sure I would have given him a second chance after he sells the heroine out. Ugh!
