      • Sean Schubert

Sean Schubert has lived in Anchorage, Alaska since 1993 After earning his degree in English from Wabash college that year, Schubert immediately relocated to Alaska. It s clear that he enjoys and appreciates his new home Schubert makes Alaska itself an integral part of his unfolding series The people of Alaska respond to hardship with equanimity.Sean Schubert says Alaska poses its own set of challenges separate from the unfolding zombie plague The cold, the wildlife, the environment, and the distance all challenge its residents the addition of zombies to the mix just ups the ante I try to introduce the elements without being too heavy handed about it Alaskans typically take things as they come with regard to those environmental challenges, so the growing cold, the gathering darkness, and even zombies are, after certain adjustments, taken in stride It s just part of the survival mentality of the Last Frontier.

    1. One of the things I struggle with when reading multiple books by the same author is a presumed assumption that there will be connections between releases. So I went into Resolution with the hopes that I'd be whisked right back into the Alaskan Undead story and unravel in a linear fashion.I feared it would be a reluctant read once I realized this was a mix between the original characters a fresh set of tales of the outbreak. But after a short time, I was too engrossed in the vignettes to give it [...]

    2. Resolution is an amazing end to an amazing series!I love Neil and his group and Sean Schubert wrote a great ending to their story! Throughout the struggle to survive the zombie apocalypse this group became a thight family who cares for each other and will do anything to keep each other save.I've never been to Whittier or even Alaska but with the detailed description of the author and the help of Google it came to life. Seeing the entrance of the Tunnel to Whittier, the Anchor Inn, the Buckner Bu [...]

    3. From Anchorage to Seward our intrepid group struggles to find food, shelter, and safety. They find that the tunnel leading to the small town of Whittier is barred. Their hope is ignited believing the tunnel was blocked before the infection and the town may be free of zombies. If this is the case it would be the perfect place to wait out the infection. With high hopes our group makes their way to Whittier. Expecting a continuation of the story from book three, the new characters and return to "be [...]

    4. Very good bookThis as a very well written a geographically accurate book, I would recommend it to any avid horror reader. Being from Alaska I must admit that it was extremely interesting to read about a zombie apocalypse occurring in t g e place where I was born and raised.

    5. Research on the local area was obvious, and appreciated! The series is a quick read and you will enjoy some fun twists along the way. Andyou may also find yourself wanting to up your own disaster preparedness level ;-)

    6. This was such a fun series! I don't normally like the whole Zombie genera, but it was so fun to have it set in my own city/state. I could follow the characters from the very beginning in Anchorage all the way to the end in Whittier because I'd been to every place they went.

    7. The whole series was absolutely brilliant. I really enjoyed book 4 and the introduction of new characters. Sean's writings are gritty, dark, and extremely brutal. No-one is safe from his hands.
