    1. This is my first Janet Tronstad read. I picked it up because of the knitting theme. I was a little concerned when I started reading and found the story was centered around cancer patients. I thought all no I will cry and cry but as I continued to read I found strength in these girls stories. I love the use of quotes and what they meant to the group of girls.I will definitely be looking for other books in this series as well as other reads by Ms Tronstad.

    2. A Wonerful Tale of HopeThe book first seemed to start slowly for me, but by the 3rd chapter, I was hooked. I felt that Carly and her friends were real. I want to hang out with them. The story of Mary and Joseph was woven into this book so well that I didn’t even realize until the end that the book was published by a Christian publisher. And that is very refreshing because I will happily recommend the story to amy non-Christian Friend’s and then be glad to discuss my faith with them. I look f [...]

    4. SUMMARY: My Yuletide Resolution: Stop Living a LieWith Christmas coming, I, Carly Winston, know it's time to make changes in my life. I've spent way too much time hiding my family's past—and letting opportunities pass me by. Not even my boyfriend, Randy, or my friends in The Sisterhood of the Dropped Stitches know about my secret shame. I'm hoping my new role as Mary in the local nativity play will build my confidence and help me to open up to those I care about. My evolving relationship with [...]

    5. Janet Tronstad's 2007A Dropped Stitches Christmas surprised me. I didn't think I'd want to read a book about young women who had survived cancer. The BIG C can be depressing. But not so in this book of honesty and triumph. With the advent of ereaders, it becomes possible to resurrect books that have disappeared from store shelves. I've read Janet Tronstad's Dry Creek romances and yes, this story is definitely her flavor of romance. But I was enchanted by the first person narrative from the heroi [...]

    6. The perfect gift for any female cancer survivor!!!Carly Winston and her four best friends are part of a support group that is approaching their fifth Christmas cancer free. Carly has a secret she's kept from the group that makes her feel less than genuine. With Christmas fast approaching, Carly gets to understudy the part of Mary in the local community theatre Christmas play. Not a believer, she's fascinated by the role and begins researching the life of Mary. Her friend Randy is running lines w [...]

    7. # 2 in Sisterhood Series The Sisterhood started with the members were in their teens and dealing with various cancers with the help of a counselor they started what they named The Sisterhood of Dropped Stitches. God had dropped some stitches as they were made and with the help of the doctors He was putting them back together again. This story deals with Carly. It was hard getting into the book but when Carly was given the Understudy role of Mary in a playt in the depression, and she starts to se [...]

    9. i liked this book, i like this author, but i must admit, the style this book was written in could be a bit confusing at times. i'm not sure i liked the style itself, despite enjoying the storyline itself. i think i continued to enjoy the story more so primarily because of how the main characters all banned together to support each other, and i wish more people did that. made me a bit "homesick" for some old friends of mine, too. because of the writing style, tho, and how difficult i found it to [...]

    10. I loved this holiday installment in the Sisterhood series. Carly is a wonderful character that I could really relate to, and her growth during this story was endearing and encouraging. It was very interesting to read about the lives of a group of five young cancer survivors; this is the second book I have read in the series, and my favorite so far. I highly recommend this book as an uplifting Christmas story.

    11. overall it was a pretty enjoyable read . i enjoyed the characters and it was an easy read but as it got towards the end it became a little bit to much into the god concept , not that im against god but i felt a little forced idk personal thing i guess . loved the romance of randy and carly though ! good book but probably not a reread .

    12. Carly and the rest of the sisterhood has survived cancer. The girls are trying to move on with their lives, It is suggested that Carly try out for a play for her "Big Break." What she finds as the understudy for Mary in the Nativity play is much better.

    13. I don't know why I persisted in finishing this book. The plot was contrived, the characters were not well developed, the point of view switched unnecessarily.

    14. Yet another book from my Mom. This one was a little more subtle with the Christian angle. It was a quick read and enjoyable.

    15. a cute story about a young woman finding herself, her faith, and falling in love for the first time after the turmoil of cancer. A lovely Story for Christmas
