Andrea has always enjoyed creating characters and stories But it wasn t until she was in her late twenties that she started writing novels What happened that ignited the writing flame in her fingers Divorced, and disillusioned by love songs and stories They exaggerate She thought Love and Romance are not like that in the real world Then she met her husband and realized, yes love and romance are exactly like the songs and stories say She is now a happy wife, and a mom to three kids two boys and a girl.Once she heard about a writer who never let her characters deviate from the script If they did, she just killed them How sad, she thought For her one of the best parts of being a writer is letting the characters have a mind of their own and seeing where the story takes them She loves this quote from Robert Frost, which sums up her opinion on allowing the characters their freedom No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader No surprise in the writer, no surprise in the reader Robert FrostAndrea writes fantasy, paranormal, and historical romance When not writing or reading, one may find Andrea dancing in Zumba Claimed Book 1Forthcoming June 2016An incubus must convince his stubborn assistant to give him what he wants to survive.Debut fantasy paranormal romance, The Garnet Dagger Book 1 in the Legends of Oblivion SeriesBlurb Everyone knows what happens when a vampire bites a humanbut what if the victim is Elvin Forthcoming Cursed in Shadow Book 1.5 of the Legends of Oblivion SeriesForthcoming Son of Dragons Book 2 of the Legends of Oblivion SeriesViking Fire is a historical romance set in Ireland during the Dark Ages with a dash of magic.Blurb What if you were engaged to marry your enemy a Viking She hopes you will enjoy the stories as much as she did writing them. She believes in the power of change and counting each moment as a blessing But most importantly, she believes in love.Even if she has to fight for it.

    1. What could be better than a romance set among castles and lairds in the magical isle of Ireland where arranged marriages could make or break the tenuous peace of the land? Apparently, author Andrea R. Cooper knew the answer to that when she added some Viking Fire to the mix ! Kaireen Liannon, is a beautiful, independent-thinking, strong-willed, and slightly spoiled daughter of a powerful laird who has just discovered she is to marry a stranger, for the good of the clan. As far as Kaireen is conc [...]

    2. Find this review and more at Lusty Penguin Reviews!Viking Fire, by Andrea R. Cooper, captivates with its wonderful blend of historical romance and mystery. Using colorful historical details, Cooper beautifully captures the setting, Ireland 865 CE, and the attitudes of the era, successfully drawing the reader into this story. When the daughter of Laird Liannon, Kaireen, learns that she must marry with Viking Bram, son of Ragnar, she is outraged that her father would demand such a thing. The Viking [...]

    3. ** This review has also been posted on Tangled in PagesI like my historical romances but the ones I usually read are set in the 19th century. My one attempt at reading something set farther back was a complete fail *cough Born in Sin cough*. This book is set even farther back, in ‘856 CE’ but the idea of Vikings being involved was intriguing enough for me to overlook the last time I got burned. This was certainly a whole lot more tolerable than Born in Sin but the story itself was lacking. T [...]

Immediately, we dive into Kaireen's struggle, against her father's ruling on her marriage as well as her growing attraction to the Viking Bram, who slowly makes room for himself in her heart. Cooper did an excellent job creating her world without overloading on the sensory details. I could see where Kaireen a [...]

    5. Kaireen Liannon, third daughter to Laird Liannon and the feistiest one at that, is being forced into marriage with a stranger, and may the Gods help her, a Viking! She'll have nothing to do with those kind, pillagers, and not so long away, their enemies. But, time changes, things aren't the way they used to be, and the striking Viking grows on her, from his audacity to the way he works under her skin.Bram, a Viking by birth and soon to be an Irishman by marriage, has seen the young Kaireen, and [...]

    6. This was a fast-paced read with lots of action and intrigue. The story hit the ground running and never let up. I loved the descriptions of period food, clothing and customs which added to the richness of the world. Bram and Kaireen had loads of chemistry and fun romance.Kaireen is a worthy heroine who began as a bit entitled but came into her own through the tale.I loved the touch of mysticism and would recommend the read to not only historical buffs but fantasy and parnormal fans as well.

    7. So – I was expecting something unique and different, and I certainly got it with this book! Ireland of long ago: green, dotted with castles and battles for territory is beautifully detailed and recreated for the reader by Andrea R. Cooper, and the added bonus of this sweetly plotted romance certainly kept it interesting.Kaireen is the daughter of the Laird, and soon to be married against her desires to a Viking which will ensure the clan’s stability. While Kaireen is not a happy camper with [...]

    8. 856 Ireland is a wild and barbarous time for Kaireen, daughter of a Laird, to be married to a Viking invader she's never met. The fiery red-head is determined to avoid her fate and tries at every turn to persuade her barbarian she will not marry him. But when his rugged good looks and superior fighting skills begin to sway her heart, Kaireen must work hard to guard herself from falling for the Viking.Bram, the ultimate hot, hunky hero, is easily attracted to his reluctant bride. He puts up with [...]

    9. This captivating, edge-of-the-seat tale in the days of Vikings, Druids and brutal clan warfare is set in the enchanted Emerald Isles. It tells of the impassioned love the Viking, Bram, carries for the reluctant, beautiful and fiery Kaireen. These were the days of marriages arranged for the sole purpose of land acquisition and protection and Kaireen wants none of it. Bram, who has no prospects of wealth or land is willing to marry the daughter of a traditional enemy in exchange for his loyalty an [...]

As the daughter of Laird Liannon, she knows it is her duty but when she is told that she is to be married to a Viking she adamantly refuses. Viking, Bram knew that Kaireen is meant to be his. With her fiery hair, her temper to match Bram makes his intent clear, they will be married. Kaireen plans to fight him all the way, she doesn't plan to fall in love. 11. Set against a backdrop of early 9th century Ireland, Andrea R Cooper infuses her debut Historical novel, VIKING FIRE, with liberal amounts of adventure, romance and intrigue.Ireland…land of myth, magic and bloodMs Cooper brought the medieval era to life for me with the rich detail that is interwoven throughout the novel. I could picture Kaireen climbing into the giant kettle to scour the encrusted blackened stew. I could smell the sour milk, rotten swine slop, and urine in the dyeing room. I c [...]

    12. This review, and many others, can be found on my website, My Written Romance.I must confess that in the past, I would have probably walked right on by Viking Fire. It wouldn't have been for any reason other than this particular period of history hasn't always captured my interest. However when I was approached to review this, I decided to leap into the unknown and I was very pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of action, mystery and intrigue, as well as wonderful chemistry between the hero an [...]

    14. Viking Fire is an exciting and unusual read. Set in 856, a time I know little about, it is about the romance between Kaireen, a Laird’s daughter, and Bram, a Viking. Their marriage is arranged by her family, but feisty Kaireen is determined not to wed Bram. These are dangerous times however, and soon she starts to realise that Bram has qualities she admires. I loved the historical descriptions in this book, the author has brought to life brilliantly a time period that little is known about. Th [...]

    15. I love books like this where the main character starts off one way and grows into a wonderful person. I dislike books where the main character is perfect and never develops. Andrea writes characters so three-denominationally that you'll either love them or not. I for one love her characters and her stories. I'm looking forward to many more books by this debut author.

    16. There is nothing more delicious than being swept into ancient times on the whims of an independent female and an over-sized Viking. Not only did I enjoy the tug and pull of Irish Kaireen and the Lochlann Bram, but I found incredible nuggets of fun detail braided like ribbons through the tale.

    17. So, I received this book in exchange for an honest review and I have to say that I was so excited to read it because I have a new found love for historical pieces/romances and honestly I believe I learned to love them with the Clockwork Angel Series by Cassandra Claire and the fact that I loved history in school. :) Well I actually give this book 4 and a half stars was not sure if I should stay on 4 stars or round it up to 5 but decided to post 4 stars. Again I give this book 4 1/2 stars! First [...]

It is not the marriage itself that angers her so, but her match. He is a Viking, a Lochlann, and in Kaireen’s eyes this does not bode well. She sees the Lochlanns as no good and untrustworthy. 21. Cooper’s novel is historically accurate while remaining approachable to modern day readers. The mixing of Celt & Norse mythology gives a very unique feel to this tale as well. The storyline is solidly put together and presented to the audience in an enchanting way that will leave you wanting to become part of the tale rather than simply read it. Cooper melds vivid battle scenes with heartfelt interactions to complete this. Cooper’s characters are well developed, but in a very natural way [...]

    22. Andrea has done it again. She creates a world that we want to fall into with characters we really want to know. The setting is done in a way that really works. She's taken the time and effort to craft a world that is believable in both details, setting, and facts, but also the people that she's placed in it.Bram (perhaps, an little tribute to Stoker?) is a raider with no real prospects it sucks to be the younger son, doesn't it? And Kaireen is a true Irish lass, she doesn't want anything to do wi [...]

    23. Viking Fire, the fist book I have read by this author, was a very delightful and thoroughly entertaining read. I was drawn into the story since reading the synopsis and the book did not disappoint! The novel is very similar to some of Monica McCarty's works- falling more under the young adult category rather than adult- and I absolutely love those novels, so this story was a great fit for me. The mixture of romance, history, action, suspense and a fiery heroine makes for a classic story. While a [...]

    24. Bram the Viking is, without doubt, one of my favorite heroes from this year. Every time he graced the page, I swooned (as did the heroine, though she fought it tooth and nail, poor girl). Viking Fire had some very rich world-building. The keep, daily life in the BC era, the cast of characters--all contributed to create a setting that surrounds the reader and brings the story to vivid life. If you're a Viking romance fan, this is a don't-miss for sure!

    25. C- rating. I’m not sure exactly why I’m so disappointed with this book. I adore historical fiction when the Irish or Scottish are involved. I am completely fascinated by Norse/Viking history. Imagine my giddy glee when I was offered the opportunity to read a title that combined both! There were a lot of things that detracted from my enjoyment of this title. I didn’t get enough description of the landscape, nor the things that attract me to the time period. During this period in history, re [...]

Her husband to be is a Viking, known for their raiding they aren’t considered to be the best choice of a husband, not even an ally. She doesn’t take the news very well and refuse to marry him.Kaireen’s ears heated, “I am not marrying,” She shook her head for emphasis. “So there will be no morning, nor night, nor wedding.”When she finally meets [...]

    29. The blurb for Viking Fire caught my eye when the request was sent and I just had to check it out. I am always a sucker for a really good historical romance - and having a soft spot for vikings helped, too. Kaireen is in some ways your typical historical heroine - headstrong, independent, and determined not to marry just because her parents say so. In other ways she was very unique - she wasn't perfect. In the beginning she showed signs of being a bit snobbish and spoiled - but learned her lesson [...]

    30. I don't read a lot of Historical Romance but when the author contacted me about the book and I read the blurb I was sold! I'm Irish and love reading anything set here so even before I started the book the fact it's set in Ireland is a plus ;) Also it has big strapping Vikings in it!! Add the 2 together and you have a winner.I loved Kaireen. She is so feisty and outspoken in a world where women are looked down upon and treated like they don't matter. When she is told that her marriage has been ar [...]
