    1. An imaginative, thrilling, thought-provoking and engaging read. I enjoyed reading tPOT and it left me craving for more as I finished reading it. The beauty of the book becomes more and more apparent towards the last part of the book where untold stories unfold and you witness the real potential of the characters as well as that of the budding authors. Some of the chapters are worth applauding, specifically 'Deciphering the relic', 'Troubled Dreams', 'Messiah' and 'Red Dragon returns', in additio [...]

    2. b00kr3vi3ws/2014/02/TheWhile on one hand the Indian Market is being flooded by formula stuff – Lust stories, campus stories, love on campus stories… and scaring me off from checking out the Indian Fiction section in bookstores, few new generation authors are slowly starting to step out of the crowd. When I was approached by Tnahsin Garg to read and review this book, I promptly accepted even though I am not a big fan of sci-fi books. I read them and like quite a few of them, but usually pick [...]

    3. I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this, and I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Read it in one go ! If somebody asks to define the book in just one word, that will be ‘imagination’. Apart from being a gripping thriller, the novel says something very very important that really struck a chord in me. Well, the novel talks about aliens but provides a really unique and refreshing perspective on a long debated topic. There were a lot of scenes that made me wow and contemplate. [...]

    4. Loved the fact you opted for a genre that is not much touched upon by thenew generation of writers and authors from India.Pretty decent stuff for first timers! Keep it up!Wishing you guys a long and wonderful journey ahead!

    5. The Prophecy of Trivine captured my imagination. The concept on which the story is based is quite exiting. It is a worthy attempt at science-fiction/fantasy, a genre which is not usually attempted by Indian writers. The book is exciting, and the attentive reader will get a lot more out of it than just the story. The language is free flowing, which makes it an easy read even for teenagers. The characters are developed well, and the background stories for each of them are imaginative and well told [...]

    6. Opening a debut novel with the song from the movie 'Into the Wild', gives a clear hint that you are going to enter the world of nerds who secretly desire to run away from the society and live as they want to. And this book has all the ingredients to cook a story of escape from society, but in a grander way! I might have read some books written by two authors (though only book I can recall is Freakonomics), but this certainly is going to be my first book written by a trio! Knowing the writer-trio [...]

    7. The Prophecy Of Trivine is the debut venture of the triumvirate Pulkit Gupta , Srivatsan Sridharan and Tnahsin Garg. I was approached by Tnahsin Garg to read and write a review of the book and I didn't wait a minute to say 'yes' as Science fiction/fantasy is one of my favourite genres. First of all I would like to congratulate them to step in the world of Sci-fi as this one seldom appeals the Indian authors. They dare to pick aliens , teleportation ,psychokinesis and all other related things as [...]

    8. The plot is compelling and the narrative is lucid. Though the story is beyond imagination and we know that something like this can never happen, we fall for the writing. It is so believable! It is so descriptive that we feel like we are watching a movie. It is wonderfully edited and each character is given with equal importance.Though the book falls under Sci-fi genre, it is more than that. It talks about humanitarian qualities and also puts across many thought provoking points. It throws light [...]

    9. I used to be a science fiction addict until I read a string of Pathetic books which made me hate science fiction.Alas! After a long time, I happen to read this beautiful and well written science fiction. The story is about three people- Arty,Phil & Siv and the alien Xona. One beautiful thing is that all the three characters are truly distinct (Something tells me they are modeled after the 3 writers may be :-P). The banter between them was well written and humorous. The book opens with Phil esc [...]

    10. A 4.5 for me!! A must read for all those who think sci-fi writers fail to give an acceptable conclusion.Though the basic plot is science fiction but seriously that does not mean you need to have some kind of interest in science to pick this one. The story is about 3 friends- an artist, a scientist and a hacker! So no matter which field you are from I am sure you will be able to relate to atleast 1 of these characters. The characters are so wisely portrayed it creates an image in your mind! Eagerl [...]

    11. the prophecy of trivine is something of revelation to Indian Storytelling telling which is populated massely by romance and college love stories. the book itself is very gripping you either take its plot or writing style or factual information. All 3 writers have beautifully weaved the threads of factual information and their imagination to create the Novel. The book is a definite page turner and the story unfolds you get see the creative realms of storytelling and get engulfed so much in the bo [...]

    12. First off, I must admit - considering it's their first book, my expectations were not monumental. But boy was I wrong! The story-telling is superb. Events unfurl at that wonderful pace, which urges the reader to carry on reading. A significant amount of originality and invention is there in the story, which is something most writers need to learn - rather than just catering to masses.A couple of wrinkles were always going to be there, but I'm sure these will be ironed out by the authors in their [...]

    13. The Prophecy of Trivine was a quick and sweet read. The book is packed with action and the characters are well defined with different personalities. I found that some differences in quality and style in the book, maybe a result of writing a book with 3 people. I would recommend this book for teenagers interested in science-fiction.(Disclaimer: I am a co-worker of one of the authors, bought the book on my own.)

    14. Just finished reading Prophecy of Trivine my first ever alien book. Quite liked the original concept as it isn't the usual alien flick but has an interesting human angle. Narrative is fast paced, language simple yet involving and presentation quite impressive. A good debut by Pulkit, Srivatsan and Tnahsin. Read more on scribblesofsoul/the-prophe

    16. In one of my previous book reviews I was mentioning that the Indian writing is exploring new lands and the books and stories are coming in all genres. This is indeed true. In the land of thrillers, romance, mysteries manhunts and mythologies we have a new genre “The Science Fiction”. Yeah, the authors Tnahsin Garg, Pulkit Gupta and Srivatsan Sridharan have explored the unchartered lands of science fiction & fantasy and came up with “The Prophecy of Trivine” , a story that enchants an [...]

    17. By Pulkit Gupta . Grade B+ “Two is company, and three’s a crowd” – they say, but this crowd of ‘Pulkit-Srivatsan-Tnahsin’ does come up with a creation that would surely make them proud. ‘The Prophecy of Trivine’ is a novel by three best friends from college – Pulkit Gupta, Srivatsan Sridharan and Tnahsin Garg, each excelling in their respective fields but collaborating to create a unique plot that leaves no stone unturned to fascinate the readers with a story line so brilliantl [...]

    18. I have just completed reading this spectacular and an amazing book - The Prophecy of Trivine. The story begins captivatingly, introducing us to Phil Mascarenhas alias The Red Dragon. Phil, a hacker falls into a very big and inevitable matter. Phil finds himself in danger as policemen walk into his college director’s office to arrest him, calling him a terrorist. But before the police could capture him, he manages to evade them and escapes out of the college premises. While he rides his cycle to [...]

    19. Rating: 3.5 starsI had long since stopped reading English books by Indian authors after trying my luck with the over-hyped books by Chetan Bhagat and a few other books of similar category for I found those stories melodramatic, repetitive and utterly unrealistic. So when Tnashin approached me requesting to read and review The Prophecy of Trivine, I was initially unsure about accepting it, but then going through the book blurb, I had the instinct that it'd be a book worth reading and my instinct [...]

    20. pebbleinthestillwatersspoBook Review: The Prophecy Of Trivine: Of Beer Bounty and BonfireThe Prophecy of Trivine written by three young aspirant writers Pulkit Gupta, Srivatsan Sridharan and Tnashin Garg is a beautiful story of nature and its three heroes - Phil, Siv and Arty. Basically each of the character is a depiction of three basic components of life, nature and earth which are - Science, Art and Technology. Phil represents technology, Arty the artistic side of nature and life; and Siv - t [...]

    21. Let me start with the things that I like about this book.Suspense: I liked the way the authors have managed to maintain suspense in the scenes. Their writing style, augmented by the way they built up suspense to keep the reader hanging at the end of each chapter, is quite commendable.Story: The story is different, a good different I mean. At least much better than the cliché that I have read in the last few months. Although, some parts in the middle section reminded me a bit of some previous sc [...]

    22. 3.5 stars I have to admit before starting off this review that I have never read a proper all out fantasy book by an Indian author before. That was one of the reasons I picked up The Prophecy of Trivine. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the book. The Prophecy of Trivine turned out to be a good read. The book starts off with Phil, the hacker escaping the police and finding refuge in the forest. We delve right into the action and I really liked it. Phil stumbles upon Siv's sanctuary [...]

    23. The Prophecy of Trivine is a science fiction novel bordering on fantasy, written collaboratively by Pulkit Gupta, Sreevatsan Sreedhar and Tnahsin Garg. Firstly, the authors need to be applauded for attempting this genre which is rare in the Indian fiction scenario. I think this is the first time I have read a fiction written by more than one authors and I was quite curious to see if I could find any inconsistency in the writing because of it. However, I am glad to say that I couldn't find anythi [...]

    24. First of all, I am amazed that three people could come come together to write a novel. I seriously wonder how they managed it :) There haven't been many books written in science fiction genre by Indian authors. I found it quite refreshing to read something different for a change.PlotPhil is a hacker who escapes from the police into a strange forest. Disoriented and tired, he collapses in the forest and is awakened by a strange being, who thinks to be an angel. He discovers a shack in the middle [...]

    25. The Prophecy of Trivine is that rare book that manages to catch you off guard with its immediately innovative story line. The authors are tritastic! Beats me how the writing process was between three people but what they have here is a phenomenally original script that takes Indian writing to new directions. That the story should aim to tackle something a big as extra terrestrial life is an achievement in itself. But what keeps the reader hooked is the way everything is conceived. We start with [...]

    26. This is a book unlike anything I have read so far. The story follows the lives of three people, Phil a college student who is a professional hacker, Siv a scientist who has shut himself off from the world in the midst of a forest and Arty who as his name suggests is an artist. The three of them come together and are forced to get along. Phil, who is on the run as he has been framed for a theft he did not commit stumbles upon Siv's shack in the forest and later they meet Arty. The most unlikely o [...]

    27. To be honest I was a bit apprehensive before starting off this novel, given the unknown nature of the author's previous works. But the buzz regarding this book, among my friends, compelled me to take it up.And boy, were my apprehensions misplaced! The moment you get into the pacy first few chapters of this science-fiction adventure novel, you get to know that you are in for one of those "hard to put down once started" books. The best thing I liked about this novel was the à la Quentin Tarantino [...]

    28. I came across this book first while surfing for books to read and the theme of the book captivated my interest. I was thrilled when one of the authors of the book, Tnahsin Garg, contacted me over and gave me a copy of the book to read and review. As the synopsis says, the book is about three young men and an alien meeting in a forest and how it affects each other's lives and the fate of humanity as a whole. The idea of cosmic origin of life is intriguing and the authors come up with some intere [...]

    29. Fantasy is an interesting genre where the author can explore so much. In spite of this, very few authors want to walk this less-trodden path. In fact, i find most of the new age Indian authors going for the formulaic love stories and thrillers. This author trio picked up the fantasy genre and cleverly fused in a 'message' with the story telling. A fantastic narrative which involves an alien race, teleportation, mind reading, supernatural, nature and 3 guys in a forest with an alien damsel and lo [...]

    30. I just loved the book, as such I love sci-fi books and anything that has alien on it is a must read book for me. The book is filled with all the stuff that keeps you in the hunt for what happens next as the pages are turned over. And once you have quenched your thirst, you are thirsty for more and it stops only when you have reached the last page. Alien technology married to creativity and imagination is something that is what you will discover in this book. So, start imagining for the book will [...]
