    1. I bought this book as a gift. When it arrived I wanted, quite naturally, to look at it and see what could be 'pop-up' in The Christmas Carol. I opened it and WOW! this London street scene of the 19th century shot out at me. Cor' blimey, it was amazing! I set it down on the table as already it is quite a heavy book (I've just weighed it: 800 grams!): there in front of me is this 3D street scene with the money-lending business shop 'Scrooge and Marley' and when I stood the book on end I could see [...]


    2. Superbe histoire qui se lit plutôt vite. Le style de Dickens est un peu "vieux", entendez par là que le vocabulaire n'est pas toujours très accessible. Le format court du livre permet de ne pas trop peiner dans la lecture.Pour le livre, c'est une belle édition avec une belle couverture et de jolie illustrations à l'intérieur.

Fan de cette histoire, je n'ai pu m'empêcher de me procurer cet ouvrage.ll est tout simplement magnifique.Tout d'abord la qualité : le format, la couverture à jaquette, les pages, l'impression typographique, la mise en page, les illustrations tout est parfait. Un bel ouvrage que l'on prend plaisir à consulter.Ensuite, des "Annotated", il y en a des tas, mais celui-là, avec son introduction qui fait presque un tiers des pages de l'ouvrage, tout comme la partie appendix, est un véritable tr [...]


    4. le plus beau et certainement le meilleur de charles dickens, a christmas carol (un conte de noél)c'est l'histoire d'un homme radin et sans cœur sur la pauvreté des gents il s'en moque complétement et surtout de la fête de noél, mais dans sa jeunesse cet homme un peu âgé n'était pas si heureux que ça ,a cause de porter trop d'importance a l'argent il a perdu l'estime et l'amour de sa vie( une très belle femme) est avare arrogant et surtout raleur; mais un soir de la veillé de la fête [...]


    5. Un grand classique de Noël, quand on ne pratique plus l'anglais, le démarrage est un peu dur mais ça revient. Mais attention ce n'est pas de l'anglais du 21ème siècle ! Très peu d'illustrations.


    6. C'est un classique de la littérature anglaise par l'un de ses plus grand auteur.Cependant la traduction est vraiment très lourde et parfois incompréhensible, à tel point qu'il a fallu que je trouve d'autre traductions notamment sur internetA refaire je n’achèterais pas cette version


    7. Effet déchiqueté des bords de pages absolument exquis. Le livre en lui même équivaut à un format poche. la couverture dispose d'un rabat.


    8. un classique que je n'avais jamais lu mais dont je connaissais l'histoire.histoire très courte, lue en deux heures mais je suppose qu'un anglais pourrait la lire plus rapidement.évidemment le vocabulaire n'est pas très courantc'est du Dickens !
