While I LOVE the show (and I cook like that a LOT), I kind of rolled my eyes, since the whole idea of the show is to take a handful of unrelated ingredients and throw together something new and interesting. Having a cookbook with it all laid out for you seemed counterintuitive, but I decided to check it out, anyway. I'm very glad I did!     17. I really really recommend this cookbook. For starters, it has beautiful pictures. Which is a great start. But most importantly, the recipes it contains are easy to make, and super delicious.     23. When I picked up this book, I was expecting a cookbook with stylish, entertaining recipes. Then I kept reading, mainly because I was more interested in knowing if there were practical meals offered. I really enjoyed how it all came together.     24. This is a great cookbook if you are looking for ideas for what to fix from what you have on hand. The pasta recipes really appealed to me. They were simple and used ingredients that I usually have in the house. They also relied on vegetables for color and flavor and did not involve either a lot of time or expertise. Family fare.     25. I LOVED the show Chopped, so of course I had to check out the Chopped cookbook. It was definitely worth looking through and I did find a few recipes I want to check out. There are various broad categories like pasta, chicken, eggs, etc. and lots of good tips about sauces, salad dressings, ways to make variations on the same dish like pot roast. Overall, it was good and if you're a fan of the show you'll definitely like the cookbook as well.


    26. Very disappointed. I had hoped to see recipes using some not so common ingredients that might be worth trying. Nothing too exotic in this book at all. There are a few recipes that I do want from this book, but not very many at all. Glad I borrowed this book from the library, and sorry that I recommended before borrowing it that they get this as a digital book to borrow. I do not recommend this book at all.


    27. Awesome cookbook! Made several of the recipes and they are fantastic! I love the creativity involved in using random ingredients found in your fridge go make a delicious meal. So far the Moroccan chicken with date and raisin couscous is my favorite and was super delicious. I don't watch the tv show but am inspired to start. The layout of this book is on point and the cooking knowledge dispensed is practical, useful, and easy to follow. Definitely a fun cookbook.


    28. What a great cookbook! Awesome reference for sauces, pastas, salad dressings, quick desserts, using eggs, different dishes for veggies, I could go on & on. Best thing about this book is the "art of substitution!" I have been doing this for years and rarely follow a recipe exactly as written. One of the best reference cookbooks that I have seen in awhile!
