    1. Nick has outdone himself again! From the first chapter I was laughing with tears in my eyes, then when we first hear from Jamie I had to put it down from laughing. I tried to tell a friend at work about it and again started laughing so hard I had to stop and compose myself. I am a little sad with the ending I have to say I can only hope that there are some lost diaries and blog posts out there that eventually come to surface. I can't have this be the end of Laura and Jamie! I need to know what h [...]

    2. I got this book because I so enjoyed the first book "love from both sides". This book did not make me laugh out loud in the same way as the first one though I did chuckle several times. This was an entertaining, quick read.

    3. Another laugh a minute read from Nick Spalding. Love Nick's honest writing. This book was full of great one liners, great funny moments but also had a lot of emotion in at times I was crying with laughter and at others I was crying with Jamie and Laura. Brilliant, now on the next instalment.

    4. This book was just as hilarious as the first one. Instead of covering dating though, this one covered pregnancy and parenting --- from the perspective of the father and the mother. And Nick's humorous writing style and quips carried it well. I'm really glad I've been reading his books in my home instead of public people would think I was crazy for all the times I laughed out loud. I will definitely be picking up more of his works.

    5. This is the worst piece of tripe I've ever read, and I could only stand to read half of it. The writing is bombastic, the stories are raunchy (making fun of your wife while she's in labor has to be a new low in bad taste). Here's a typical paragraph: "Off I trot, penis waggling gaily in front of me like a divining rod, leaving Laura to rest her head in her hands--the perfect globe of her peachy little behind still pointing upwards, making her back arch in that way I find so irresistible."If I co [...]

    7. This book is amazing, fantastic, awesome, great, and of every good words on earth that can describe the greatness of a book. It was so funny my mom asked me was I out of my mind because I was laughing so hard.I had no idea who Nick Spalding was. Picked this book up merely because it was on the promotional rack. I am so glad I bought it. I started to love this book and the author after reading the first chapter, and more deeply after each and every chapter. The story was just so funny.Five big, f [...]

    8. Half way through and hating this book so much. Clearly written by someone who either hasn't actually had a baby or just wasn't really paying attention. My experience of it so far are that its vapid and pointless. The characters don't speak like human beings so much as a writer trying really hard to sound "real". If I make it all the way to the end I'll be stunned.

    9. I loved the first book - very rare 5 star rating. Love and Sleepless Nights fell flat for me. None of the laugh out loud humor from the first installment. I don't think I will be reading the third.

    10. Not as goodCertainly an entertaining read with Laura and Jamie having a child and how this all happened. Far too few giggles in the book compared to the first in the series. Hasn't inspired me to purchase the third or any others.

    11. Just as funny as the prequel book. I couldnt stop reading and I was laughing hysterically at some points in the story.

    12. I read Nick Spalding’s first book Love From Both Sides and as soon as I had finished it I then downloaded this one which is the follow on. I guess if you want to read the first book you had better stop reading this review as it will inevitable contain spoilers! In the first book we meet Jamie and Laura and they tell the story in their Diary and Blog about life being single. The book itself had me crying with laughter as it inevitably told the hard cold truth about dating in today’s society. I [...]

    14. I was SO pleasantly surprised with this. I'd read the first book a while back and remembered it being funny enough to want to keep reading more from Jamie & Laura. I assumed this was going to be the couple 'growing up' in a sense - as clearly they had become pregnant. I have to say, this was utterly hilarious and far from 'growing up' despite the new addition the Newman family. If a book can physically make me laugh out loud, I am sold. Can't wait to read book 3.

    15. This is my first Nick Spalding book, and I must say it is actually a really quick read. Unfortunately I was not that smitten with the storyline. The chapters are broken up into Hers/His chapters- she is supposedly writing in a journal and he is supposedly writing on a blog however I found that the writing style for each writing style was wrong. The HER chapters (Laura's Diary chapters) to me just sounded plain and very much like a book and not much like a journal at all. They also seemed a bit w [...]

    16. I had read Love…From Both Sides, and really enjoyed it, and so like others I was very much looking forward to Nick Spalding’s latest novel, Love…And Sleepless Nights. In Love…And Sleepless Nights we catch up with Jamie and Laura who find themselves in the situation where they are about to have a baby together.I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The novel alternates between Jamie and Laura’s parts, told in the forms of a blog and diary. I really loved the way this was written as I really fel [...]

    17. After being very disappointed in book one of this series I started this second book wincing and reluctantly. On one hand, this second book filled me with some of the same frustrations as the first. It simply isn't possible for two people to encounter this many ridiculous scenarios in a lifetime. Every single event in their lives turns into some catastrophe of epic proportions and it's simply over the top. I'd appreciate the hijinks a bit more if they weren't written for effect and made more sens [...]

    18. I laughed until I cried reading 'Love From Both Sides' so I was really looking forward to this second book in the series. It's not as good as 'Love From Both Sides' but it's pretty darn close. Jamie & Laura's marriage has matured (in their own slapstick way) until they discover Laura is pregnant. Pregnancy wasn't something they'd planned for so soon in their marriage. Laura's thoughts as journal entries to her mother (just like the first book Laura & Jamie have journal entries so the rea [...]

    19. This second outing into the world of Laura & Jamie was an absolute joy. Taking the journey with them as they navigated first time parenthood was better than LoveFrom Both Sides. It had me laughing out loud so many times I lost count, Laura's interview experience, her water's breaking in the apple store, labour and delivery, Jamie's first solo outing with the baby, the birth certificate. Just heartwarming good fun. Pregnancy & birth is a road I've been down more times than most and not th [...]

    20. At first I wasn't entirely convinced I would like the book - a story about pregnancy and having a child written by a male author? But after reading the first few pages all my concerns were wiped away. Spaldings sarcastic style is so funny that you sometimes can't help yourself but laugh out loud. As the story develops, I am, however, even more stunned by Spalding's descriptions of the baby girl - it makes your heart melt and made me feel like only a woman could have written it. Altogether, the b [...]

    21. Love And Sleepless Nights is the follow on to Love From Both Sides where Jamie and Laura are now married and accidentally pregnant. Again, it's from both sides, Jamie's blog and Laura's letters to her mother. As a writing concept, it's fantastic. It's almost like getting two books for the price of one.The tale as told is really good. I really liked the bit where Laura has the baby (and the run up to it). I can imagine her exasperation at Jamie. In all, a great read. If you like Spalding, you kn [...]

    22. Read it because I liked Love from both sides. This is a good book although not as funny as the former. Bringing up a baby is difficult I hear, and I've had the pleasure of reading some funny anecdotes too. The scenes of Poppy's name debacle, she inadvertently using the name of a female body part among others were funny. The description of Poppy's first baby steps was very good. I would've liked it if the book ended there.

    23. Was not as good as the first book though I really did enjoy it.This book follows the characters development through the first year of their childs life. Jamie has not changed and Laura becomes more uptight.I enjoyed the story line with Jamies mother.Very easy read and looking forward to the finale installment. Though the last chapter of this book skipping so far into the future was unexpected and I am unsure if I liked the idea.

    24. Loved this novel! I read this book as the mom of a newborn, so I could totally relate to nearly everything that happened to the main characters. It was soooo funny, I was laughing out loud with the book in one hand and my baby girl sleeping in my arms. Author Nick Spalding managed to catch the hilarity new parents deal with during their day-to-day lives along with their sentimentality and self-doubt.I HIGHLY recommend this book to parents and parent-to-be. I absolutely loved it.

    25. This second book in Nick Spalding's series is just as hilarious as the first book, but heartwarming at the same time; as it deals with Jamie and Laura's travels down the path to parenthood. I just can't get enough of these two and am looking forward to traveling down to Australia with them in the next book. I have much confidence that they can get through all of the crazy challenges life throws at them

    26. Loved itAs always a riot. His descriptions are hilarious. I can actually visualize the situations he gets himself into. Not a true Spalding book unless there is at least one good fart story. Yes I'm an infant that can't help but laugh. As always I will and have highly recommended. Gbash

    27. I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first, but maybe because I don't like to read about pregnancy/birth/babies. Often times, I wish I would've just stopped at the first book, but I was invested in Laura and Jamie's relationship. I still got a lot of chuckles on this one, but not as much as the first. I'm still contemplating if I want to read the 3rd book.
