    1. The following review is from my blog, Cure My Writer's Block: Shifts in the ocean’s currents due to the melting polar caps have led to the collapse of a large section of the western continental shelf triggering a massive tsunami that hits China, killing millions and leaving the country in ruin. In its wake a pathogen emerges that threatens the entire world. Jake Miller is a former combat pilot and soldier of fortune haunted by his past. He is the only survivor to an outbreak years earlier whil [...]

    2. Playing God by Doug MooreMeet the future and it's killing most of us A major plot to eradicate most of the world's population so the rest can survive and start over while eliminating the mistakes of the past. All planned and carried out in Panama in 1979 by the overzealous powers in the government, then covered up by the same government. Pick any alphabet agency and lay the blame on their desks, including the killing of everyone who survived. Advance 50 or 60 years ad infect the entire world wit [...]

    3. I really enjoyed reading PLAYING GOD by Doug Moore. I liked the characters and enjoyed the plot very much. It's more of a standard thriller/end of the world kind of story, but it was pretty well written (especially for an author's first novel). I've read many stories involving a virus devastating civilization and though this story doesn't bring anything new to that kind of story it still was an entertaining story to read. No real complaints in the end.Overall a good book. I look forward to readi [...]

    4. Wow! Didn't have a clue what kind of book this was going to be. I bought it last July and didn't re-read the synopsis. At first I thought there wasn't enough written about large blocks of time that were missing; I later changed my mind. Liked the development of the characters - lots of action; the realism of the possibility of a pandemic was well done. Very well written. (just needs some editing)

    5. Global powers beyond world governments have released a pandemic upon humanity in order to lower the population and save Earth from the destructive forces of overpopulation and climactic change. Interesting, fun, action-packed, good characterization, plot and storytelling. A few vocabulary usage errors, but not too bad. I enjoyed this and will be looking for the next book by this author.

    6. Playing GodNow here is a story that echoes an eerie truth in today's globalist endeavor. Too close for comfort is the premise, with heroes and villains quite believable and a chase across America to stop a world wide catastrophe.

    7. It was ok but the fact that the author wanted to write another and to my knowledge hasnt mean that the ending drops off and leaves you sitting there with a retarded look on you face wondering what would happen next

    8. Not a bad read. a bit choppy at times. The survivalist aspect is a bit unbelievable, as the group was able to get everything they needed to run for it with very little long term preparations having been made ahead of time. Still an enjoyable read though.

    9. Good summer readA fun, fast paced, read with a well written story.Great for a beach book.Characters you relate to in a believable plot.

    10. Former Vietnam veteran Jake is part of a pest control clean up crew in Panama and it has been three days since base camp has heard from the jungle camp when a mystery illness broke out. A quarantine zone is set up to stop the dying men spreading the mouse pox further and it seems to be contained. But years later, a tsunami in China brings mouse pox back into the world and Jake has to save the people he loves from it and those who seek to stop him talking about the previous outbreak. This is more [...]
