    1. Inside Softimage 3D, by anthony Rosano, is great. Rosano is a world class explainer. Step by step he covers almost every facet of the Softimage3D program. Using simple explainations and step by step tutorials, he demystifies Softimage, and shows how to get the most out of it. He covers every aspect of modeling, texturing, rendering, and animation in Softimage. He even covers complex topics like inverse kinematics. Also included in the book are insightful interviews with designers who use Sof [...]

    2. Finally! I can stop reading all those worthless magazines and get some work done. Inside Softimage 3D is that book that us Softimage 3D users have been waiting for. It cuts straight to the dirty, real life use of the program known as Softimage, and it adds lots of great interviews from companies such as Lucas Arts. Also, it has tips for video game artists and other professionals. A better name for this book would be "The Softimage 3D Book," because it goes inside, outside, over, and under Softim [...]

    3. I had Softimage for about 3 weeks before I bought this book. Altough I understand a very little about Softimage, after I had read this book I really know much more. But don't expect that you will know the most of this advanced program, it is really all basic. But for me, being a beginner with Softimage, it was almost enough. It would be a more greater book if they had more modeling tips and tricks put in it. But for the animation it was enough to know the basic. So if you are a Softimage beg [...]

    4. I can't believe it! I read all of the reviews before purchasing this book and everyone said that it was great for beginners and not so great for experienced users. Well I'm a new user and I'm here to tell you that I'm more than half way into this book and I'm more discouraged than ever. The explaination of content is great, but the CD-ROM is so poor that there is no point in explaining it since 80% of the tutorials don't work. How would you feel if somebody told you how to do something a [...]

    5. I would not recommend this book to any artist that is serious about learning the program in any useful way. This writer is not an artist, and doesn't understand the fundamentals of good design. It is poorly organized and in a few instances simply inaccurate. I would recommend 3D Character Animation instead.

    6. I've read this book and i learnt Softimage 3D like i was using it from years, it draws a path from the beginning to the advanced tecniques. Thank you Mr. Rossano keep writing this kind of books you're the very best
