    1. I felt I was reading a book written 50 or 100 years ago. Fitz-Enz contends that William Henry Harrison was fair and equitable arbiter, Andrew Jackson's hatred of the Indians and the British was understandable given what happened to him, but Tecumseh and Tenskwatawa were "troublemakers" preaching "poison." He even calls Indians "Savages" (I feel dirty typing that, hasn't it gone the way of other racist epithets?) He portrays Prevost as an able commander, which is mystifying since at Plattsburgh h [...]


    2. Numerous factual errors regarding (at least) Stephen Decatur's family and life; I'm not as familiar with the personal histories of the other commanders, so will leave it at that. The anti-Native bias made me want to crawl under my desk. The sources are mostly secondary, but given the lack of notes (just a bibiliography), heaven only knows how they were employed or consulted.
