    1. 4.5 starsLet's start with the fact that anything that consenting adults do with each other behind closed doors is A-Okay by me! If that statement is false for you, stop reading this review and move on to a different book.Playing with Consent is the ultimate filthy, dirty, hot-as-fuck role playing book. Rough sex, rape, punishment and more. I was in the mood for something raunchy and I certainly got it, but I was surprised at how lovingly these characters treated one another and how scenarios wer [...]

    2. Great book that addresses the thorny issue of "what if I like to read rape stories, but rape is bad?"Answer: read Helen Saito's book about committed loving couples who agree to safely role play situations of non-consent.There are five stories in the book: two were longer and therefore better. One of these is a committed loving couple in a TPE relationship, who decide to role play a dub-con scenario of the sub being shared around a group of friends as punishment. The second is a committed loving co [...]

    3. Anthology of consensual, non con role play featuring committed couples. The play ideas were fun and I enjoyed the concept of having them in a negotiated forum. Problem was the negotiation kept up during play and rather than just agree to the safe words and signals there was an intrusive amount of double checking and almost cold feet on the dominant party's hand. I'm all for safe play and checking but this made for a bit of a buzzkill. One story worked really well for me and the others were eithe [...]

    4. DNF 52 %Meticulously planned role play in established D/s relationships = 100 % lack of spontaneity. I find role-playing funny at best, why did I try to read this

    5. DNFSeriously?! You dare to name an anthology wherein the couples talk the damn fantasy to death and all but sign an affidavit on what could be said, should be worn, and decide upon the exact time, script and plot sequence of the 'non-consensual sex' Playing With Consent? Seriously? The badness, staleness, lameness and ridiculousness of these transparent stories defy words. Ps: I'm nominating this book for worst attempt at dirty talk.

    6. This is the second book I've read by the author which I have really enjoyed. This book is made up of 5 stories from the author ranging from some shorts to some longer novellas. All the stories involve established, committed m/m couples who decide to spice things up with some role playing fantasies they've been harboring. The role play in each is very hot and varies by story from some bondage/in scene blackmail to some more edgier types of play and from quick set up to extensive planning. Very we [...]

    7. I love this author! I wish that she would write more. Under Contract is one of my favorite books. This was a great book, for an anthology. I just can't seem to be completely satisfied with short storiesI always want more. It helped that all 5 of the stories in this book revolved around already established couples. There wasn't the rush of the guys meeting and falling in love, since this was already a given. My favorite story was the 4th one. The 2 MCs spent a long time planning a scene, but as t [...]

    8. I really, deeply wish Saito was a more prolific--and more well known--author in the pro field, because she writes a kind of erotic fiction I wish had been more readily available to me in my younger days when I was reading and absorbing the rape fantasies of Harlequin instead. Not that there's anything wrong with rape fantasy; Saito's stories in this anthology are often based around that very thing. But, with Saito, it's very explicit and obvious that this is a fantasy, that the partners are play [...]

    9. This was so good. This is the first book of Helen Saito's I've read, and once I finished it I immediately bought her other published book because I enjoyed this one so much. This anthology is all about couples playing around with consent during scenes they engage in. All of their scenes are well thought out and planned and ridiculously hot to read through. All the couples have different dynamics, which makes for interesting reading. I think one of the reasons the stories all work so well is that [...]

    10. Saito can't achieve quite the depth of characterization that she managed in Under Contract due to the short story format here; nevertheless, the crisp, clean prose style and smoking hotness remains. She's definitely one of my new favorites.

    11. Love how the title plays on words. Also, very fitting. This book explores ways of handling and negotiating consent. All stories were good, but I particularly liked the second to last, where the whole buildup discussion on what was OK and which stop and go words to use (with test runs!) was really hot.
