Trisha Speed Shaskan Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Seriously, Cinderella Is SO Annoying!: The Story of Cinderella as Told by the Wicked Stepmother book, this is one of the most wanted Trisha Speed Shaskan author readers around the world.

    1. I like the idea of a fairy tale being told from another characters point of view, but we miss out on SO MUCH of the fun with this version, as the stepmother isn't around to see Cinderella's fairy godmother, and the pumpkin coach, etc. I guess that was the main problem with this: it wasn't fun.

    2. Book Title: Seriously, Cinderella is so Annoying!Short Description of the Book: In this story, the story of Cinderella is retold but from the point of view of the Wicked Stepmother. FOCUS: Narrative Features I would Use in a Mini-Lesson: 1)Point of View: I would use this story to encourage students to think about how a story is different when it is told from different points of view. This particular story uses humor to show the entire Cinderella story from the view of the Wicked Stepmother. The [...]

    3. I didn't expect an illustrated version with very few pages. The book would have been hilarious if it was written like a novel. I liked the way they told about why Cindy is so annoying because I found all those things annoying while watching the movie 😁😁 It was good. But not that good. Cindy darling, only 2 stars for your step-mom!

    4. Everyone knows the story of Cinderella and her evil stepmother and stepsisters, but maybe just maybe there is more to the story. Maybe Cinderella is not as innocent as she seems. According to her stepmother Cinderella never stops talking and the only reason she had to stay home from the ball was because she was sick. Could that be the truth?I would recommend this story to teachers who want their students to learn that there is always more then one side to a story. For teachers of older students [...]

    5. A cute little twist on the story we all know. This is more of a comical, wholesome take on the story so no one is left looking like the evil villain. It was free on Prime so I figured why not. Recommended for ages 2-8 maybe, definitely a good pick for a quick bedtime read with your little one.

    6. This was a great exercise in viewing the other side of the story! I especially like the ideas at the back of the book as an example of distinguishing the differences in both the classic tell and the stepmother's version. This would be a great storytime lesson for elementary age kiddos

    7. Surprisingly interesting! I love this version more than its original one. Eventhough it can't explain where the magic is from or whether it's real or not, I find this story so funny, and it has such happy ending for eveyone.

    8. I love a good book that makes you look at the other side of things. This teaches kids to look at the other point of view in a story. In this case we learn that Cinderella was crazy and wouldn't shut up! Come one, the stepmother wasn't that bad was she?

    9. SummaryHave you ever wondered what Cinderella's Wicked Stepmother was thinking? Well this book tells us a story about how living with Cinderella was awful. Sure, Cinderella did all the cooking and the cleaning, but she NEVER STOPPED TALKING! Apparently the animals weren't the only ones Cinderella talked to because as soon as her step family set foot in the house she was telling them stories; crazy unbelievable stories about animals singing, and joking, and washing clothes of all things. Maybe, j [...]

    10. I found Seriously, Cinderella is so Annoying! written by Trisha Speed Shaskan in my school's Library. This story is told by the wicked step mother. This is a silly story that makes the reader see Cinderella in a whole new light. The story starts off with the wicked step mother and her two daughters walking into the house that has cobwebs and dust all over it. The wicked step mother claims that Cinderella tells a lot of made up stories about talking to animals. The wicked step mother gives her jo [...]

    11. Book Ratings for People Too Busy to Read Someone’s Opinion of a Book That They’re Sure to Disagree With Anyway. (Yes, this title is long but the rating is not.)Initial Impression: Oh, it ALL makes sense now.Pictures: Exaggerated, funny.Characters: “Cindy” is completely delusional.Plot: Step-mom explains why Cinderella couldn’t make it to the ball…and it wasn’t Step-mom’s fault. One Line Summary: Cinderella is a very strange woman indeed; her stories are completely fabricated.

    12. This is a play on the traditional Cinderella story. The story is told in the perspective of the wicked stepmother. During the story we see why the stepmother treated Cinderella so poorly and how Cinderella continuously messed things up for everyone. At great story to use when teaching your students about perspectives and point of view. This shows how a story can change when a different character is telling it.

    13. Such a cute book. A fun take on a classic tale. Its from the perspective of the step mother. The step mother was wrongfully portrayed in the classic versions. Cinderella was the one who had caused all the issue sin the house. One example was how Cindy wouldn't stop talking and wouldn't he;p out around the house.

    14. This story is so funny! It tells of the classic story "Cinderella" from the perspective of the mean step mother instead of Cinderella's point of view. This makes people think about how possibly Cinderella is at fault and not the step mother. Maybe she wasn't so mean after all maybe Cinderella was just plain annoying!

    15. You think Cinderella was so nice and the best of the story, well think again. This book tells the other side of the story. The stepsisters/mother and all the things she does is so annoying. This is a cute good for younger kids to get a kick out of. The pictures are very realistic, for a children's book.

    16. I did not personally like this book because I felt like it was a little redundant throughout the book. Although, I did not personally like the book I think it would be good for kids to read to understand that there are two sides to every story and either one could be considered right or wrong.

    17. Funny book! Tells the story from a different perspective than what we are used to. This is a modern fantasy book. This book tries to show that the step mom is not evil and cinderella is the one that causes all the trouble.

    18. This is the story of Cinderella, but with a different point of view. This particular story is told from the stepmother's point of view. It's cute, amusing, and the illustrations are very expressive.

    19. QuickI read the Lititle Red Riding Hood book, and thought it would be fun to read the others. This seems to fly by quicker than Red's story, so it felt lacking. It does, however, maintain the cute novelty of "the other side of the story", and I think kids would enjoy it.

    20. This book is a whole new perspective on the original Cinderella fairytale. This book is from the step-moms point of view and goes off the idea the Cinderella just made up stories. This story teaches you to look at every side before blaming someone. Great book to read to a class!

    21. This was a nontraditional take on a classic story. It would be enjoyable for kids to see the different point of view while still making the classic they know funny! It's a twist that's oh so enjoyable!

    22. I bought this book for my Granddaughter and I know she is going to love it. I can see her defending Cinderella already lol. This is a fun read and gives way to a thought process of sorting out situations. Well done!

    23. The genre of this book is Traditional Literature (fractured fairy tale). One unique feature of this book is that it tells a traditional story from a different perspective (the Wicked Stepmother's). It could be used in grades 1-4.

    24. Super CuteThis was an adorable story as told by the step-mother. Was a great before bed read. Will be reading more of these books in the future.

    25. Just like it says Cinderella is annoying. LoL What can I say? She talks to much and makes up too many stories
